I paid the extra and opted for this 'professional' version over the other which cost around £25, since the finish alone looked so much better and I like the contour at either side. I think I made the right choice! Receiving this didn't disappoint. It's a beautiful wood and finish with a sturdy, pleasing build. The tines (the metal bits) aren't as flexible as I imagined and are also of a good, sturdy build and well secured at the bridge. The sound is magical - either played with the nails for a 'sharp' sound, or by the flesh of the thumbs for a more dampened sound. The unit seems to have been shipped perfectly tuned. Already I'm learning 'Can't help falling in love' and thoroughly enjoying it. The unit can be held in the hands or placed on a table for greater resonance. It's ideal to just pick up and play whenever I have a break in work and what's more it's relaxing to boot!The unit comes in a protective case which is of the highest quality - very thick and robust with a pleasing countured design. The inside has padded cutouts to hold the Kalimba perfectly in place. It is advised that the Kalimba is kept in the case, but I have mine on display in my living room and equally this allows me to just pick up and play whenever I wish. Also included is a cloth carry bag, a cleaning cloth, a chain (to hang?) stickers and a hammer to hit the tines up and down to tune.I'm delighted with this purchase and I'm excited in exploring this new, enchanting instrument. I'm hoping to have my song learned by the end of the month. Watch this space for a video!

Love the product. The product came in perfect conditions with all the listed parts, nothing missing. The 17K Kalimba itself is elegant looking, detailed design, the wood material and colour seems to long-lasting, looks and feels of high quality compared to other similar products. It comes with a robust and easy to carry case unit, which is padded from the inside. The Kalimba perfectly fits the case which provides a steady and storage. It also comes with a cloth bag, stickers, finger protectors and a tuner. I like that it comes with a booklet giving information to the user, such as beginners introduction, tips, some songs to instantly start testing and using the product and maintainance instructions. Overall this product is highly recommendable, comes with a variety of tools to tune, clean, manitain, carry and play properly, included are some suggestions to improve learning capabilities. It is easy to use and hold due to the curves present on both sides and the sound quality is impressive. I am satisfied with the purchase, worth the price.

Beautiful quality instrument. Lovely resonance except for the highest notes, but apparently this is normal for Kalimbas with a resonance chamber and can be rectified by re tuning to a lower tone, which I will do at some point. Very good, sturdy hard case with it. Very happy I got this. Highly recommend.

This is beautiful looking and seems good quality which is what I was looking for and why I was happy to pay more for this kalimba. But I’m a bit disappointed that at least 3 of the keys are flat so I have to work out how to tune it before I can use it.

This kalimba has a beautiful tone, not too expensive and is proving very easy to learn. Even when I don't play anything in particular the notes sound peaceful and mesmerising, making it a perfect activity for mindfulness. Comes with a well-stocked accessory kit and a very nice quality case. The top G was buzzing slightly on arrival but I managed to fix it with the advice in the information booklet very easily. Reading the booklet, I can see that a lot of care and consideration went into this piece. Thank you!

Never seen these before and was intrigued to try one out. After much browsing I settled for this model. It was delivered swiftly as usual and I was impressed with the contents of the box. The instrument is in a lovely padded case. Included the accessories described in add.The item is beautifully made and handles and plays really well.it was in tune from the box in my case. I am having so much fun with it when I have a spare moment.I have no negatives with this item, money we'll spent.

If you are looking at this kalimba but are unsure wether to buy it or not ... BUY IT!!!!Okay so I was curious about the kalimba and decided to pick up a cheap kalimba off wish. When it arrived I played it for a week and decided the kalimba was something I was prepared to learn and play.After deciding to look around for a decent kalimba I found this one I bought it and waited patiently for it to arrive.Since it came through the door yesterday morning I've not been able to put it down. It came nearly perfectly tuned (the e was ever so slightly flat 3 quick taps and it was perfect) and the sound is so beautiful. It feels nice to hold and the sound that resonates as you 'pluck' the times is mesmerising. I've been playing song after song on it all day and I'm in the process of learning Hedgewig's theme atm. The carry case that it comes with is nice too a nice place to hold the hammer and another place to hold some paperwork (not much but still that's nice) for those that write a few songs down or to put the book that it came with in. Honestly I cant recommend it enough.

EDIT: A few days after posting my original review (see below), MOOZICA messaged me letting me know that multiple koa kalimbas were damaged during shipment and they were would be more than happy to provide a replacement free of charge. I was able to pick out any one I wanted. Since koa seems to be more delicate, I went with the deep blue kalimba, made out of mahoghany wood. Before I complained of the kaimba feeling cheat due to the artifical feel, but this one felt and looked amazing.MOOZICA has great customer service, and replied very quickly to any comments or questions that I had. I was made aware of what was going on concerning the shipment every step of the way. It's little things like that that really matters in the long run. The kalimba arrived a bit earlier than expected and it was everything I thought it would be.A very deep blue color with a light gloss and was already in tune when I took it out of the box. It really stands out from the rest of my kalimbas, since I am more used to natural wood colors. When I compared the sounds to my other kalimbas (flatboard LingTing, acrlic Kimi, and hallow Unikko (all 17 keys)) this one was among my families favorite. It has a higher tone than my flatboardand and does not sustain as long, making it ideal for songs that has multiple notes played close together (so the notes do not run together). Although my first kalimba was damaged, I can easily say that this has been a positive experience, and look forward to their other products.+++Feels CheapPrevious Review: I recieved my first kalimba last year, but am not at all an expert. For reference, I have 2 LingTing Kalimbas (flatboard), 1 Kimi (acrylic), and 1 Unokki (hollow). This kalimba felt so cheap compared to my others and I was not a fan of the shiny coat that it had (gave it an artifical feel). Plus it arrived damaged, with a crack in the wood. If you are in the market for a kalimba, there are better ones out there with a similar price range than this. I ended up returning it for a refund, and do not plan on buying a Moozica Kalimba again.

Ich habe mir diese Kalimba für 3 Wochen Kur gekauft. Es hat sich rentiert. Ich habe sie auf c moll gestimmt. Die Musik ist angenehm entspannend. Nicht zu laut und nicht störend.Die Kalimba ist sehr gut verarbeitet, das Holz sehr schön, der Farbton nicht ganz so rötlich wie auf dem Bild. Der eine oder andere Ton klingt etwas stumpf aber mich stört es nicht.Mit der guten Hülle kann man es auch gut mit nach draußen nehmen. Mit einem Gitarren Stimmgerät habe ich die Kalimba gestimmt.Preis Leistung ist Top und es ist für mich schon ein Genuss dieses Musikinstrument aus seiner Hülle zu nehmen. Der Klang ist sehr schön und entspannend. Ich habe schon viele Stunden mit diesem Instrument verbracht und es werden sicherlich noch mehr.

J'ai mis du temps à me décider, tant dans le choix du modèle que dans le choix du fournisseur, et quelque peu anxieuse de me retrouver avec un instrument de mauvaise qualité .Au final, vraiment aucun regret : la peinture laquée est extrêmement bien posée, les clés déjà accordées. L'instrument arrive dans une belle boite, accompagnée d'un sac en tissu et d'une coque dure de qualité, pour le transport. Tous les éléments annoncés sont présents.Je recommande vivement à celui qui cherche à allier qualité et beauté de l'instrument.A noter que la couleur bleue est plus foncée que sur les images proposées, mais vraiment de toute beauté.

Il s'agit de mon premier kalimba et de mes premiers pas avec cet instrument, donc je n'ai pas d'élément de comparaison en la matière, mais j'en suis satisfaite.Comme l'a souligné un autre acheteur, ce kalimba est d'un bleu plus foncé que sur les photos. Il tire plutôt sur l'indigo en termes de teinte. Je préfère cette nuance plus foncée, mais comme l'esthétique peut être un frein dans l'achat, il est important que toute personne intéressée prenne en compte cette différence de teinte.L'avantage avec ce kalimba, c'est qu'il est livré avec le kit complet : il est arrivé dans sa boîte en carton, en parfait état, soigneusement rangé dans sa sacoche rigide (remplie de mousse dure et moulée à la forme de l'instrument qui assure son immobilité durant le déplacement), et avec ses accessoires : pochette souple en velours, chaînette, marteau pour l'accordage (si vous voulez vous amuser à changer le type d'accord, car il était déjà accordé) chiffonnette, protections de pouces, autocollants à disposer sur les lamelles et livret explicatif en anglais (que je lis très mal, mais ça ne m'a pas fait défaut puisqu'il existe divers sites internet très bien faits pour apprendre à se servir d'un kalimba). Ça évite de devoir prévoir un budget supplémentaire pour acquérir le matériel de base.Concernant le son, je le trouve bon et très agréable à l'oreille. La caisse de résonance porte vraiment bien le son. Là encore, c'était mon souhait, mais c'est important de le prendre en compte si vous souhaitez jouer dans un cadre plus intimiste ou si au contraire, vous préférez que le son porte. Les lames des extrémités résonnent moins fort que celles du milieu -rien de surprenant compte tenu de leur longueur- mais restent bien audibles.En conclusion, je dirais que pour une prise en main, c'est un bon produit, qui correspond à mes attentes et est adapté à un débutant.

The kalimba's wooden part is damaged, looks like a manufacturing fault. When the box arrived, there was no extra box protecting this moozica box and it wasn't sealed either, which I was very surprised as it is a fragile musical instrument and the price is on the higher-end in the kalimba market. There is an additional black plastic box to protect the kalimba. However, the plastic box has obviously been pressured as the surface is concave. Somewhat disappointed by how they treated my musical instrument as they represents their own brand and the producers of their own instruments.
