Santa Cruz Shredder Metal Herb Grinder Knurled Top for Stronger Grip 2-Piece 2.7" (Blue)

I've run 2-4lbs of dried herbs each every year through these things for countless years now and they keep on going. Just received another large 2pc, another large 2pc that has ground no less than 5lbs dried herbs works very close to as well as the new one I just opened. 2-piece is all you need imo, 3-4pc grinders are expensive gimmicky nonsense. SCS gives me the best doink texture and does it very quickly.Protip: wrap the top and bottom halves with a size #73 rubber band each for grip, and so you can smack the two pieces together without scratching the anodization. Rubber grip makes spinning this thing nearly effortless even with the hardest of dried herbs. Sizes 62, 63, 64, 72, 73, 74, 82, 83, and 84 will all fit parts of the large, with 84 being a bit too tall for the "knurled" half of the grinder but 82/83 can fit. For one size that'll work on either medium or large SCS I would recommend size 73. Regular rubber bands grip better than the black "tactical" type ime.Funny that the pics for this listing cite "32 sharp teeth" when in fact none of them, or at least no model I've encountered, has 32 teeth: the "large/2.7in." has 36 teeth, and I think the medium has 28 or lessons. Doesn't matter, they are all very sharp with super unique geometry and they work great!The hemp version of SCS is better than the vast majority of other grinders too.Thanks

This is a good grinder for dry herbs; sharp teeth, good size/capacity, smooth action. It's large, which is good if you have arthritis or other dexterity issues, and it's quite heavy!There are 2 things I'm not thrilled with, though... 1) it's kind of built upside down, which is easy enough to fix, just flip it over, but intuitively it's designed the other way around. The problem with this is that the lid sits inside the grinding chamber meaning it's easy for stuff to get in between the lid and base piece and gunk up faster. 2) being a 2-piece grinder, the herb stays in the chamber and just keeps grinding as long as you do, it has no place to go, which makes it a little messy to empty.Minor issues to say the least ;)Overall this is a solid unit. If you don't "need" a 2-piece though, go for one of the others (4-5 pc) and just remove the screen/storage compartment and make it a 3 piece so the stuff falls through when at the right consistency. Also, the non-stick versions aren't "non-stick", but do last quite a bit longer against the gunk build up :)

Yup. Just do not knock these together upsidedown to get the material out when you're done grinding. This will cause the sides to chip each other where they hit and if you get a colored one, the coloring will chip away leaving the silver aluminum color underneath. Not gunna lie, its going to take me a while to break that habit haha. Otherwise, 9/10 Would recommend to my moms friends sisters hot niece.

leider stimmt die Größe nicht, ich hatte large bestellt, und die large Maße stehen auch auf der Verpackung, aber nachgemessen handelt es sich um ein medium Modell . Sehr schade, macht ansonsten einen guten Eindruck, etwas teuer.

Good enough product. They tried. The quality aspect is there, but as far as dense flowers/herbs go......this thing provides zero torque to accomplish 'shredding' them. That should be noted BEFORE spending so much on a simple 2 piece grinder.Relatively useless, as my herbs are always dense and properly cultivated.Edit: 2nd issue is the thin plastic ring between handpieces has broken off. I am waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the live chat support and getting absolutely none. (30 minutes and not even a bot-response or anything. Not sure what's going on. Not impressed with Santa Cruz.)Edit: 3rd plastic ring. (Yes the replacement ring is free, but at this price and "supposed" quality and hype.....I find this to be ridiculous.) I must advise everyone to avoid emptying their wallet for this thing, just because someone on the internet said it was the G.O.A.T.

The two pieces are not tightly aligned, resulting in “spices” creating buildup and making it impossible to twist. So frustrating - I would have thought that, for the money, it would have been made better.
