Would this work on an hp envy 360 screen?

Yes, it will. I have an HP Envy x360 15-aq292cl and I had previously ordered an active touch pen for it and it did not work. After researching the model, does not have a digitizer (a sensor that allows the active touch) on the screen so active touch pens will not work on the Envy x360 15-aqxxxxxx series. Only capacitive touch, like this Mixoo Smart Pen, will work.

can i use it to write as a regular pen on an app similar to words?

Dear Customer,Thanks for your question. This capacitive stylus has electricity-conducting nibs (tips) that simulates the charge your finger provides on the screen, so it can only does what your finger does. If your finger can write or draw on this app, then the stylus does too. ^^ThanksRedvolts

Would this be a good product for writing notes for school? I have an ipad mini 2.

I think it would work for writing notes . It has the small wired end and it has the pencil point with the round plastic end. You can chose which one is best.

Would this work with the zen brush app? Thanks

It should! I use it with ASKetch and it works great
