This is cheap and broke on my first use. I the hold cord doesn’t fit my 2007 Volvo XC90. Waste of money.

I dropped and damaged my old gas cap for my 2005 Volvo XC70, which triggered a check engine light. I ordered this new cap which was a direct fit and the error code disappeared right away.

This was a perfect fit for my 2013 Volvo S60. Comes with the tether. No issues.

It fit

We ordered these replacement fuel fill caps for both our Volvos, my wife’s and mine. At first glance they appeared to be identical to the originals. However, they were extremely tight and difficult to take off or put back on after fueling. Worse yet, the tether that prevents the cap falling to the pavement during fueling was inflexible and more like hard plastic than the resilient rubber of the original caps. After only three weeks, they both broke!Don’t be mislead! These are garbage!

This technically fit in my Volvo XC60, but was not even close to OEM quality. It is cheaper than the Certified Volvo part, but not by much. The tether is a hard plastic that does not work as it is supposed to and the spinning portion of the tether does not spin on the cap so it is very difficult to install, especially when it is cold out. The o-ring was also the wrong size so it did not seal properly. Save the time and headache, just get the OEM one from somewhere else.

The original factory Volvo fuel filler cap gasket was failing after almost 15 years of service, rightfully so. I was looking for an OEM fuel filler cap and found this fuel filler cap after searching Amazon with the actual part #. I saved about $15.00 ordering it here with Amazon Prime, getting free shipping. The fuel filler cap didn't come inside a factory Volvo box but everything matched up correctly and it included the tether strap.
