This may not be a fair review, as my dogs are super picky! But for what it's worth, they won't eat this. Therefore, I can't rate the flavor! But it is quality dog food with a reasonable price, AND for small breeds, which is why I gave it four stars.

My grandparents have me order this for their Yorkie and Chihuahua, they've used this brand for many years however as they've gotten older they can no longer go into the stores to purchase it so I have it shipped to them which makes life so much easier on them! They swear by this brand and their pups live on average 16+ years! As they get older they add a little bit of water to soften it but it provides just enough nutrients to keep them healthy and living long happy lives.

First of all, the package was ripped at the top and spilled out into the cardboard box. After e-mailing Diamond, I ended up keeping the bag and feeding it to my dog anyway (I know, I know). It stills smells fresh, and from the amount spilled out, I would guess the bag broke towards the end of the shipping process.I have done extensive research on dog food, looking for the best ingredients for the cheapest price. My dog does the fly-biting thing, which is thought to be due to indigestion, so I wanted to make sure the dog food had probiotics. The ingredients are not premier, but there are no by-products and the first ingredient is cage-free chicken. I checked out many review sites, and in my opinion, this is the best of the cheaper dog food, even if it's not the best overall.My only complaint is that for a small breed formula, there are no joint supplements. My mini poodle has a luxating patella, and it's kind of a pain to buy extra supplements. He's kind of picky, but he likes this dog food, so I think this is my new dog food.
