Size up a full size
I ordered these in 9.5 and I ended up with a size 10 (UK 41) in the box labelled 9.5.However, as all the reviews say, these fit very small so the mixup works in my favour. I wear a size 9 and the size 10 fits more like a 9.5. I normally order a half size up in hiking shoes but I recommend ordering a full size larger in these. There is also a removable insole that will give you more room if they are still too tight. One size larger fits great with hiking socks and toe box is not too narrow, heel is slanted and requires some breaking in but not too much. I wouldn’t have noticed the plastic bag crinkling noise if reviews hadn’t pointed it out (it’s the fabric tor covering).

Just what I was looking for
Love that this hiking shoe doesn't look like the typical hiker. It's super comfy, lots of padding in and around the shoe, also grips quite well. Maybe not ideal for serious hiking but it's just right for moderate hikes. It does get slightly warm but not uncomfortably so. Had to size up because my regular size (7.5) fit but didn't leave much wiggle room. Half size up is slightly too big but thicker socks and tighter laces works fine.

Get a half size bigger
Attractive shoe and I got at a great price.... but - listen to the other reviews, they are at least a half size smaller than normal. I NEVER have had an issue with shoes being too small before. I am always a size 10. I would be better with a 10.5, possibly an 11. I could wear a thin sock in them, may or may not keep.

Crinkly
I'm still debating on whether or not I'm keeping these. The fit is great, very comfortable. I did have to put inserts in them to keep them from rubbing on my ankle but they're perfect now. My only issue is that they make noise in the mesh of the toe area, like crinkly plastic. I don't know if that's how they make them waterproof or not but it drives me crazy. So I'm still debating if the waterproofness is worth the annoying sound.Update: decided to return, just can't take the noise.

Difficult to get on but very comfortable Update to original review
This model is a bit difficult to get on, snug tongue opening, which does stretch out a bit with use. Once on I have found this shoe exceptionally comfortable, even over my bunion toe. I walk 3 miles every morning and my feet still feel good when I get back home.UPDATE: Still fairly comfortable BUT at just 4 months of wear the shoe soles are very worn and holes have rubbed through the inner lining. I still have 2 older pair of Columbia's which didn't show this kind of wear for over a year. My weight is the same and my route is the same. SHOES ARE JUST NOT MADE WITH THE SAME QUALITY.
