Works just like the original
I own both the SmokeTop ($54) and this *much cheaper* knock-off.I use em both side by side to do 2 drinks at once. They both work just fine, and I definitely like this approach to smoking a drink.Differences are incremental:- smoketop is unfinished; this variant is stained brown, tho it has a smaller logo than some of the other knockoffs ( a plus).- the flame hole on this version is larger ==> much less of the burn marks you inevitably get from the smoke top: to me the knockoff seems a better choice on this front. (Image: smoketop on left, knockoff on right)- the SmokeTop bundle I got occluded oak, hickory, maple & cherry wood in roughly 2" tins: the wood was finely ground, almost a large grain sawdust.- this product bundled slightly smaller wood tins, including a few fruit woods, and pecan. The wood in this set was much larger grain, almost like very small chips.Net comparison: both wood choices seem to work fine, and I routinely use either wood source in either smoker. No issues.- the 'garnish slot' groove on the smoketop is deeper and better accommodates a garnish pick, than the shallower groove on this version. Not a major difference- I do use both - but if I'm only garnishing one of a pair of old fashioneds, il'l use the smoketop on the one with the picked cherry.- both have similar screens, and I want to say both came with spare screens (at least I know the knock off did, and smoketop comments they'll provide more for free). On net: both work fine, and given what it is - a simple lathed and routed block of wood, with a small screen in a hole - I do think the smoketop is fairly overpriced for the materials and build cost. I don't regret picking up the knockoff, at all, and will probably pick up another for our cabin. So, buy a smoketop if you want brand identity, prefer the look and feel, or want USmade. And pick-up the knockoff if you only want to spend $20 or so.

So far works as described! and cheaper than other
Been using it a lot for smoked cocktails.the included wood chips are great in aroma and taste.one trick i do is cover the top with the chip can and let the smoke settle in the glass.i really enjoy smoking cocktails great for anyone that wants to give it a try.

Just ok…
Very hard to light and keep lit. The top is what wants to burn. I wouldn’t purchase again but can’t send back because burned the top trying to get it to light LOL
