Clarion Little Blue Truck's Christmas

My 2 year old daughter loves this book. Little Blue Truck is one of her favourites. This book has a component of counting while still being fun and the characters you would expect from this series, but the best part is the Christmas lights that actually light up at the end of the story.

I recently asked for a recommendation on Christmas books that were somewhat unique… Different than your usual classic Christmas story. Someone recommended this book to me, and It looked right up my car-loving son’s alley. Boy was I right! He’s 2.5 and has a speech delay, and lately he’s been in an anti-book phase. I’m used to him shutting the book on me after the first page. He’s been bringing this to me all night to read!! 🙌🏼 He also picked up on the story quickly and has been finishing the sentences (great for building vocabulary!).This book is great because it’s simple but still has a nice story line. It’s simple enough for distracted toddlers to follow! The illustrations are gorgeous, and the animals are so cute. I love that it incorporates counting, common sounds/action words, animals, and general Christmas themes. This is perfect to start reading early before the holiday season, especially before you go and get your Christmas tree. I highly recommend this for all ages, but especially 2 year olds. The tree lights up at the end… such a wow factor!! ✨This is also on the Amazon fire tablet for free (on FreeTime), so your little one can read it wherever they are. Hope this helps! ☺️

My daughter loves vehicles, counting, maths, and Christmas. This book ticked all those boxes and more with short simple rhymes to better hold her attention and beautiful simple scenic artwork with enough else to find or look at but not too much that it distracted from the story. Absolutely lovely and magical. The pictures tell the story!I didn’t know what to expect when I bought this book, I was pleasantly surprised and my daughter adores this book and even reads it back to us as best she can. Highly recommend for young children.

We have several of the Little Blue Truck books. This one was sent to our friend in Germany who has an 18 month and a 4 year old. Both love the book and it is encouraging their learning of English, as they are growing up bilingual.
