30A Low Voltage Battery Disconnect with Remote ON/Ignite Control, 12V/24V Auto Detect

I have come to appreciate just how reliable this LVD unit has been over the months that I have been using it. It is responsible for protecting my LifePO4 battery for over-discharging and from low voltage as well and it does both well. I added a 30A fuse to my setup as backup measure to protect both the battery and the low voltage disconnect unit. I would highly recommend it. it does have a delayed timer before it switches off. I also like the preset disconnect dial. Very good unit.

Nearly impossible to set up without magnifying glass and light which is completely unnecessary, remedied with a 2 cent knob. It's highest cutoff is 12.1 volts, 50 percent discharge. You likely don't want to go below 80% and any quick internet search for battery charts will show this. With 10 settings on this device it's shameful they would neglect upper thresholds but have settings for 90% discharge, which has utterly destroyed any lead acid battery. I'd never buy this again. All lead acid batteries experience life-shortening effects at that voltage. This is not the case with lithium batteries - which are rare. This should be a purchase of last resort due to availability in a pinch as it was with me. It really deserves a negative rating. Those happy with it will possibly seek batteries warranty service but it will be due to their own lack of research.

So far this unit is behaving exactly like it should. I tested the low voltage disconnect and it correctly disconnected my 12 volt fridge and furnace at 11.7 volts before pulling the deep cycle batteries too low (can be set where you want it). I know that pulling RV batteries too far down can either kill them, or seriously affect their life, so this unit is pretty easy peace of mind. I have separate RV batteries, with an isolation switch from the vehicle starting battery; so ancillary loads will never again strand me in the woods! And now I know when to run the vehicle and recharge when in the boonies. There is an alarm line on the unit which I will hook up next to get an audible alert.
