too small for a medium cat- their tail can get stuck. Go for the bigger size
The instruction paper does not explain how to set the trap only how to assemble the main body. It is difficult to work out how the stick, flap and spring work. It does work but someone with a trap needs to show you how to do the spring hook

Cat comes, presses on the plate , eats and goes. it doesn't trap. NOT recommended.
