The PC Products PC-Rot Terminator Epoxy Wood Hardener is a two-part epoxy solution designed to consolidate and harden rotted wood. With a low viscosity formula, it penetrates deep into the wood grain, providing a robust barrier against future damage. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, it offers a wide temperature range for use and can be customized with paint or stain after curing.

Works very well
I used this product along with the PC Woody wood epoxy. I had a deck step that was loose from the board that ran along the length of the stairs. I thought it was just a loose screw. When I went to tighten it, that is when I found that the wood was rotted. I found this product through an internet search. I began by removing the step. I had to gut out the dead and rotted wood from the step and the area of the board that it attached to. After I removed the loose wood, I began applying PC-Rot Terminator application with the resin. I applied it mostly with a brush and some areas, I could actually pour a little at a time. I allowed the applications to dry in between applying more, because I wanted to make sure there was no more wood rot occurring. Next, I used the wood epoxy, mixing as the directions stated. I actually had big gashes in the long board that held the step. I started with that area first by packing the epoxy a little at a time. I allowed about a day in between adding more. I was able to fill that big gash and then started on the step. The step was missing a corner where the wood rotted. I did the same steps with the step. I packed a little at a time of the wood filler. It worked very well. I was able to shape it to the original form and then I sanded it down a bit. After allowing it to dry for almost a week (I was a full time student and commuting to work at the time), I was able to drill and mount the step back into place. It is a little over a year later and the step is still strong. I have rolled wood up those steps with my wood cart and we carry things up and down the steps all the time. I've attached a rough picture of what it looks like today. There is a split on that same step that I will fill in with the wood filler before the rainy season.

Effective and easy to use remedy for rotted wood!
What a great product! Some epoxy products start to set up so quickly you can barely work with them before they start to harden. No so with this product. So easy to mix with the enclosed containers, and you can apply with bristle or foam brush or apply directly from the squeeze bottle. The nice working viscosity and long work time is a bit of a trade off when it comes to cure time. You have to be patient with it and let it completely cure for several days. Well worth it though! This worked fantastic for a section of dry rot on a lateral support beam in my basement. Created a super hard base for me to repair. Very happy with the results.

Excellent product
I am very pleased with this product. Repaired a rotted out joist section on my deck. Mixed and applied the wood hardner and my joist is stronger than what it was originally. Then I applied the wood filler and smoothed it out This product gives you more time to work with it compared to bondo . I did have to buy a second batch of the filler to complete my project but was pleased with the end result. The hardner is a bit messy, so make sure you have extra rubber gloves. The product can be used on a joist so that says a lot right there. Good tough product and I would purchase again.

Works as expected, once you learn how not to make a mess out of this
Used this to treat some deck beams and joist shims. Messy as expected but once you master it and the timing right, its easy to work with. Definitely seals the seams and levels out minor discrepancies. Not sure why this basic product should cost so much, just not here but in the big box stores too. I guess one is paying for the brand. Knocking out 1 star for the high price. Otherwise no complaints about delivery, product quality and performance.

I'm disappointed that the runny consistency would not allow me to ...
I agree with previous reviewers who said the product was too runny. I mixed as the directions specified, and even after 30 minutes the product was very runny. I used it for horizontal surfaces and to seep into cracks, but it was far too runny for a vertical application. I waited another 30 minutes to see if the product would set-up more. It didn't seem any different. So despite the direction saying that the 'working time' was only 60 minutes. . I found that after 60 minutes of set up, the product was still very runny. I gave up for the day. I left the remaining amount in the bottle to see how it would progress .. I checked it 3 hours after initial mixing time, and it was still very liquid. I'm not exactly sure what it takes for this epoxy to set up. We'll see how the areas I did apply to will turn out .. but even if it works well, I'm disappointed that the runny consistency would not allow me to cover all the areas I would have liked.

Used to strengthen rotted rim joist
I bought this product to harden up some dry rotted and wet rotted wood. The wood in question was a rim joist directly on my foundation underneath my bathtub which was leaking when I bought my home. I ripped the tub and flooring out and I let the wood air out until it was dry and I drilled 1/8 inch holes the whole length and height about 2 inches apart and a half inch deep and filled the holes until they weeped, and extra where there were chunks gone, within 24 hours 90% was hardened. I topped it off with pc-petrifier which comes in a gallon bottle, I brushed several coats of that on and let that cure, the wood was very solid and sturdy enough to sister in a new joist and every screw bit in and I didn't have to jack up my house to replace the board. It's been 2 years since and no structural or shrinkage or other issues. I would highly recommend, I did use two boxes worth for a 2x8 that 8 feet long due to the severity of damage, very easy to use and saved me thousands of dollars.
