ARTSY Metallic Watercolor Paint Set – 48 Glitter Colors in A Metal Case with Palette Perfect for Artists, Hobbyists, Students, Beginners

This was the second time I had purchased these watercolours and was not dissapointed. An artist I have followed for a while on youtube recommended them and gave a good review of these paints and swatched them too. I love metallic paints and use them a lot in my work, and had been using a lower grade metallic watercolour set previous to these,but that other set all the colours had silver glitter in them and over time all the colours oxidised to the silver glitter losing thier colour totally. But these metallic watercolours by Artsy, are all highly pigmented and really vibrant and don't oxidise at all. They have a lovely sheen when dry and layer beautifully. The selecton of colours in this 48 set is a really good one. They come in a lovely art deco green sturdy two part box and the paint tin os wrapped in a cloth inside that matches the box. They come with a swatching card too. They also layer well over regular watercolors. And on black paper really come into their own,and also on toned papers too. They are great for mixed media too. The price for such a great set is really good,making them really affordable. The quality of the paint is actually really good,some of the blues and differnt golds are really stunning. I really love this set of paints and they are a staple now in my work. There are other metallic paints out there some of which are more expensive,but these are at a great price and are of just a good a quality as the more expensive brands. I got this second set as I was happy with them after I used up my first set. Great paints at a great price with a really lovely sheen when dry.

This set is comparable to other high end metallic watercolours which cost double or more.The colours are great and the mica shift matched the colourless, not like cheaper sets which only give a silver shimmer.

The pigment is nice and thick and shows up well over other watercolour paint. The colours are lovely and shimmery and it was good value

Arrived in a sturdy box the tin comes with a generous size cleaning cloth.Great on black and white card.

Good range of vibrant colours, I’m delighted I bought them for my adult colouring books.Well worth the price as I paid around the same price for 12 colours before. High sheen when light catches the paints.Would highly recommend these

I bought this to use alongside a non shimmer watercolour pan set. I am a beginner and have been happy so far. Some colours aren’t too pigmented so require building up so a professional probably wouldn’t like it but to use on top of a layer of non shimmer paint works well.
