wantdoMen's Winter Jacket Thicken Winter Coat Warm Puffer Jacket with Fur Hood

I'm in Minnesota. It goes without saying our winters are brutal. When I saw this down jacket for under $100 I was skeptical. It might be good enough for namby-pamby winters in the rest of the US but surely it couldn't handle our deep freeze. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised - it is comparable in warmth to my heavy-duty Land's End down jacket from about ten years ago. I like the design and that it is free from pockets everywhere. I'm still on the fence about the faux-fur collar. It's okay but for me didn't add much for the extra weight (and hit to masculinity). Fortunately it zippers off easily and looks good without.The only drawback is the gawdawful double zipper, as many others have pointed out. Nothing like struggling to get a zipper to engage when it's freezing out and you are wearing gloves. I've taken the gloves off and still spend several minutes each time just trying to get the teeth to "catch." It doesn't fit all that tightly (not a bad thing, mind you, especially in the land of layers), so the button option is likely to be a poor substitute that lets in a fair share of drafts.If this only had a better zipper it would be a slam dunk. As it is, it's still a decent value if you are prepared for the zipper frustration.

Thus far, I am happy with my purchase of the "Wantdo Men's Down Jacket". It arrived in a rather small package, and I was worried that it might suffer some damage from being compacted to such a degree. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. There appears to be no damage to the coat, and it looks great. Consider the following:Pros:Great color - I ordered the "green", and it looks very much like the picture featured on Amazon.Great price. - A jacket of this quality for under $100, feels like a fantastic find.Warm - Apparently the claim is that this jacket can support subzero temperatures, I haven't tested in harsh temperatures yet, but while wearing it, (inside at least) It does feel warm without feeling cumbersome. I feel insulated when wearing it, but it's not so puffy and thick that it is hard to move.Nice hood - I decided to take off the "fur" trim on the hood, but even without it, the hood is very deep and might cover well on most people. It may also fit easily over a snow cap should you be wearing one.Nice fit - I ordered the extra large, and it fits GREAT. This may be what surprised me the most about the jacket. I have long arms, broad shoulders, and I'm around 6 feet in height. If I were around 5'9 or so, I might want the large. If I were 6'3 or taller, I might look for a jacket that offers a larger size than the XL. For my frame, this jacket fits great.Cons:The biggest con to this jacket is the lack of pockets. As far as I can tell, there are two pockets on the outside of the jacket which aren't very deep. There is one fairly deep zippered pocket in the interior of the jacket. If you are looking for nice deep pockets to put your winter hat, scarf and gloves when you aren't wearing them.... this coat falls short. Storage options are VERY limited.All in all, I am happy with the purchase and, at this point, I feel that a 4/5 star rating is fair.

I am 5'6 and 175 lb with a chest measurement of 45 inches and a waist measurement of 30 inches. I purchased a large and it fits me perfectly.First of all, I do like this parka. That being said, it doesn't have as much down filling as I would like, but that's to be expected in this price range. It fits great, it is very durable and it can be worn in Sub-Zero temperatures with a sweatshirt underneath. I'm comfortable wearing this with a t-shirt in temperatures above 15°F. The lack of down filling is made up by the extra length and heaviness of this jacket. It's not a light packable jacket. This jacket is relatively heavy, which I considered to be a plus. As stated earlier, it is very durable. This jacket can be worn in the woods without worry of snagging it and ripping it like one of the thin puffer jackets. I also like the velcro straps that tighten around the wrists. The zipper is also heavy duty and feels substantial. I also like that the fur around the hood is removable. The fur is very thin and not very attractive or useful in my opinion.

The fit was good but after it’s second day of use the snap broke. The zipper was hard to use. But the Green color was nice and if the zipper and snaps were better quality it would be a nice Jacket.

I can wear with confidence knowing that I will be nice and toasty warm here in cold Chicago winter.

This winter jacket exceed my expectation. It's thickness is reasonable and it's not over the top thick. Its warm and it's texture is waterproof. I also love the color as it's not too dark. I'm 5'4" and I got the Large size and it's length is just about right.

On dit que c'est une doudoune épaisse mais à la réception ça était une réelle déception. La doudoune est trop légère. c'est une énorme déception pour moi. Ce n'est pas pour l'hiver du canada. C'est sûre que je ne recommande pas ce manteau aux personnes qui cherchent une vraie doudoune épaisse. DECÈCEPTION TOTALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
