Proline Power107-634 PVC Ball Valve, 3/4"

I have read the negatives, and did not experience any of them, the valve turns properly and is a slip glue on connection, not threaded. If one gets glue in the ball valve itself by putting glue inside the slip joint of the ball valve, yes, it won't turn and the handle is likely to break if excessive force is applied, because when you push the pipe inside the ball valve it pushes the glue into the actual ball and socket itself, gluing the ball valve in that position. care should be exercised when gluing these on, not to get glue in the valve itself as plastic will glue to plastic with the p.v.c. ( poly vinyl chloride ) glue. I cannot believe I have used over 100 of these without one failing me, and others comment they bought one and it failed...….. I don't see it.

I used these valves to build a manifd for my low pressure underground sprinlker system and my drip system for my trees and flowers. Valves were a bit stiff, so I sat and open and closed each one about 20 times. Working fine now. Also VERY careful when using the PCV primer and glue so i did not accidentally glue the inside of the valve in the open position. I used acid brushes for the primer and glue instead of the dauber in the lid because it just stops too much primer and glue than can glob up the valve.

Amazon staff don't know about this product, listen to other reviewers not amazon with no experience.

The valve turned fine when I first got it. When I needed it a week later to put in my system, I tried to turn it again and it was stuck. I had my boyfriend try it, too, and he's 6'2" and strong, and he couldn't make the valve budge. Ended up putting it in a vice to turn it/loosen it up. Seems okay now but I'm worried about it now that it's actually plumbed up. Crossing my fingers that when I need to use it to shut off my line, I'll be able to.

It's a water valve.
