Absolutely Stunning Shine and Flawless Print Quality!
I used this GIANTARM Silk Silver PLA to print a Star Wars-inspired beskar ingot on a geometric pattern-transfer build plate, and the finish is incredible. Silk filaments can sometimes be hit-or-miss when it comes to capturing fine details from a textured bed, but this stuff took the pattern perfectly. The silver has a genuine, high-gloss metallic luster that looks like machined metal right off the printer—no post-processing or polishing needed at all. In the photo, you can see how beautifully it picks up the light across the transferred triangular facets, and the Galactic Empire insignia on the corner came out razor-sharp with clean, defined lines. Stacking it right next to a black print really shows off just how bright and reflective the sheen is. It was also completely trouble-free to print. The filament fed smoothly with no clogs or bubbling, and the layer adhesion is surprisingly strong for a silk blend, which can sometimes be brittle. It laid down flawlessly on the first layer, didn't try to warp or lift at the edges, and popped right off the plate once it cooled down without ruining the transferred texture. If you're looking for a reliable, ultra-shiny silver that can actually handle highly detailed surface textures, this roll is a fantastic choice.

Flawless Printing Experience with Metallic Silver PLA Filament
I recently had the opportunity to use this metallic silver PLA filament, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations, prompting me to give it a full five-star rating. As an avid 3D printing enthusiast, I've experimented with numerous types of filaments, but this one truly stands out for its exceptional quality and performance. First and foremost, the melting behavior of this filament is remarkable. It melts consistently, which is crucial for bonding each layer effectively. This feature alone makes it superior, as it ensures the durability and integrity of the prints. For those who have experienced issues with filament bonding in the past, this product could very well be your solution. One of the most impressive aspects of this filament is how smoothly it flows. This characteristic greatly contributes to an incredibly smooth and uniform first layer, which is often a make-or-break factor in the world of 3D printing. A well-laid first layer sets the foundation for the rest of the build, and this filament delivers flawlessly in that regard. In addition to its functional excellence, the aesthetic aspect of the filament should not be overlooked. The metallic silver shine it imparts to the prints is not only realistic but also visually stunning. It adds a professional touch to the objects, making this filament a fantastic choice for projects where appearance is paramount. Check out the cool laptop stand I was able to make with it. Furthermore, the filament’s adherence to the bed plate is commendable. Proper adhesion is vital to prevent warping and to maintain the precision of the print throughout the process. This filament maintains strong bed adhesion, minimizing common issues associated with lesser-quality filaments. Overall, this metallic silver PLA filament is one of the better PLA filaments I've worked with. It strikes the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, making it an excellent choice for both amateur and professional 3D printing projects. Whether you are creating simple household items or intricate models, this filament will likely elevate the quality of your work, ensuring crisp, clean, and reliable prints every time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their 3D printing experience.

Quite Impressive
While I usually stick with the main BIG 5 manufacturers of filament for my standard colors, Giantarm was clearly the fan favorite when it came to silk PLA. I took a chance, even though it was a few dollars more than the big brands and I am glad I did. Phenomenal results on even the most standard prints. The luster and shine are definitely a step above the others. I printed with the Bambu Silk PLA profile on a Bambulab A1 outfitted with a BMCU and had no issues with feeding or layer adhesion whatsoever. The photo of my first print shows the significant amount of luster even in indoor light, and that is with no ironing or post correction. It printed dry out of the pack, but I'm sure it would perform even better out of a dryer. 5 stars, highly recommended 👍

Shiny and perfect gold filament. No smell, no blobs. No clogs.
This is IT! Came vacuum packed, no damage. It's super super strong. The adhesion is perfect. No tangling, no bent corners. It dries just fine. I can't smell it. The large spool is great because I'm going to use gold so often. The picture is about 3 inches in size, for the coin. I made the circuit board myself using Tinkercard, sliced with Cura. Printed on Ender 3 pro. It is awesome. I should have gotten it sooner. I'm not sure if they are any bad reviews, but if there are, its because their printers stink or are overused. My Ender is 6 years old, but its never been used, so I can tell you it works perfect at 200 degrees with 60 bed.

Don’t buy
Here’s a polished, forceful version that incorporates your experience across multiple batches: DO NOT BUY THIS FILAMENT. The quality control is unacceptable. Standard 1.75 mm PLA filament should measure 1.75 mm ±0.02 mm, meaning an acceptable diameter is 1.73–1.77 mm. This filament was so far out of specification that it repeatedly jammed in three different printers: my Bambu Lab X1C, Snapmaker U1, and FlashForge. It was even oversized enough to become lodged in the Bowden tube before reaching the hotend. I verified the problem with a micrometer after spending hours troubleshooting and disassembling multiple printers. This was not a printer issue—it was defective filament. The most disappointing part is that this isn’t just one bad spool or one bad batch. I’ve purchased this filament multiple times because I really like the color, and I’ve experienced the same oversized filament problem across multiple batches. That tells me this is a quality control problem, not an isolated manufacturing defect. The time I lost clearing jams, taking apart printers, and wasting failed prints cost far more than the price of the filament. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and potential damage to your printer. Do not buy this product until the manufacturer fixes its quality control.

Very pretty but it seems a bit brittle
This filament is a very nice gold color, but it is seems a bit brittle compares to other metallic PLAs I've used. Several of my models had thin strips peel off when I was removing the supports. I've tried tweaking the layer settings to improve adhesion but so far nothing has made a difference.

actually looks like gold!
Just what I wanted a gold that looks like gold, it printed a perfect test right out of the bag, so impressed, so beautiful, this is the best true 18K gold I have seen yet. Best of all did not need to dry it first, nice and crispy right out of the bag I really do appreciate that, stunning beautiful result. Remember to lower your initial layer speed, outer wall speed, and top surface speed all to 30 for the best shine, its beautiful.

Perfect color and finish
This is the best silk Pla I’ve ever printed with. The gold color and finish are amazing! A nozzle temp of 220 degrees produced a flawless print.

Price Rise put's this out of reach now.
This purple is average to better quality when compared to competitors' Sparkle Purple. It prints ok, It sticks to the bed ok but, It depends very much on your printer set-up as do they all. I paid £25 for this just a few months ago, which at the time seemed a little high compared to £17 for a competitor's version which was just as good. Now it's £31 I just cannot afford to buy it. I can buy a different brand and get 2 x 1kg reels for £37 in this colour. so only 3 Stars because of price.

Wow
Leider können die Fotos die Farben des Filaments nicht richtig wiedergegeben. Es sieht einfach klasse aus. Ich werde mir bestimmt noch andere Farbkombinationen bestellen!
