First: the vent clip is the tightest I’ve ever owned, in any vehicle. Next, although the cord is usb c, which annoys some folks, the future is here-and it comes with an ac adapter that accepts it. I don’t have a $60 case for my iPhone-$22 otter box suffices for my iPhone 12, without hesitation, I put the thin, unobtrusive magnetic ring on the back of the case. It comes with an alignment tool for optimum placement. My phone now snaps securely in place-and charges up ridiculously fast. Vertical or horizontal-however you like. Grab and go.I hear reservations about placing the snap on ring on their phone and the phones own magnet being insufficient to hold it. I wouldn’t put that thing on directly my phone either, but it’s always in its case so it’s a NON ISSUE.Best $15 I ever spent!

The charger works great. Unfortunately, the cheaply constructed vent clip itself is trash. It would lose its grip constantly and fall out of the vent. Then one day it got floppy as hell and the swivel ball pulled right off of it while I was trying to inspect it to see if I could tighten it. The good news is the charger can be removed, and then a pop socket thrown on. The pop socket vent clips are great.

This is the best charger I’ve ever used in my car. Works great with MagSafe. Easily adjust orientation of phone. Doesn’t take up too much space. I’ve seen some negative reviews on here, but my experience has been ALL positive.

Works well, charges well. Only issue is I had one break already, the clip that connects to the back of the charger broke, seems brittle, but for the price I will just used it as a desktop charger. I bought another to replace the first. It has let go of the air vent a couple times, but that happens to just about any of them that use that attachment method.

Overpriced crap, really. After a month it stopped gripping the louvres tightly, so it would pull off when I tried to remove the phone from the magnet. So you have to use it gingerly. Even still, eventually the circular magnet part broke off from the rest of the unit, for no reason other than fatigue. POS.It does charge the phone just fine, and the magnet does grip the phone well.
