The Box: It comes in is gift quality and the contents inside are nicely. There are batteries already in the unit, plus a spare set in the foam along with ink refills. (Provided 2 spare ballpoint refills, 2 sets of batteries, and 11-in-1 credit card tool) The LED Light: Push the button once for on, again for strobe, and again for off. the light would last a fair while, possibly a couple of months, if only used for short periods of time when needed. The glass breaker : You could easily use it as a tool on metal or glass. A pointed tip on one end can be used as an automobile window breaker if you need an exit or entry. It screws out of the aluminum housing and on the flip side is the multi-tool. The Pen： writes surprisingly smooth and even. Writing on different materials or at different angles, the ink flowed well and didn't smudge. Sturdy & Strong: The pieces screw together snugly and have just the right amount of heft to let you know you have something solid in your hand without being fatiguing. The machined aluminum housing is well constructed and feels secure in your hand. The texture would allow for a firm grib even with wet or slick hands. You could attach these to the sides of the EDC bags so they have quick access to them if needed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
I don't use any of the additional features aside from the flashlight alone, so I can't really comment on how durable or applicable the tool part of the flashlight is. But the flashlight itself is worth the asking price and the pen works great. It so compact yet has a nice weight to it that doesn't lead me to believe the tool part doesn't work just as well as the flashlight which is very bright for such a small device and the pen works great, it even comes with extra refill pen cartridges and spare batteries not just the initial one's included. If there is only one small irritability it the button to turn on the flashlight and it's different modes is a bit small if you're using it at night or by touch alone, but once you get a feel for it it's not even a real gripe. It would definitely be a great gift for anyone who is always in need of a pen and has no flashlight, and it is very bright. It also has a clip just like a regular pen but far more sturdy, but even without that it is very user friendly and compact enough to take anywhere. It's definitely the size of a good pen and not a flashlight yet has the brightness and even brighter than of some of my stand alone flashlights. I would recommend this as a gift as much as for one's self. It's really a great tool.

Very good multi pen. They have a nice little case it comes in. I like all the features on it.

Great gift... other than card tool is a bit heavy for a guess money clip or wallet... it's pretty nifty
