It can't be fixed. It always rocks. But you get used to it.

Product dimensions say 24", description says 17.5", how wide is the platform really?

Does this move around when being rocked back and forth? Also, (want to be sure)are the supporting legs secure in place or do they collapse?

My wife uses the footrest every day. It does not move around when your feet are on it. The supporting legs are built into the footrest so there are no issues with support.
