Raw Deal: Hidden Corruption, Corporate Greed, and the Fight for the Future of Meat

Interesting read about the food industry
Recently read "Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer and wanted to know more about the food industry, what were consuming, and how food is processed. Interesting read, maybe eye opening for some. Chloe Sorvino doesn't present the facts as a vegan but as an investigative reporter, which I feel helps her keep a neutral ground in the subject matter, which I appreciate. Did not feel preachy but informative.

Amazing read - highly recommended for anyone interested in food
This book did a great job mixing the history of food with current events and developments in the food industry. I finished it in four days and am already ready to reread it. Book also does a great job empowering the reader on how they can buy smarter in a way that doesn't talk down to the reader. A great read for meat eaters and vegetarians alike

A Wow!
The book is excellent. A fantastic reporting of a worldwide concern about the power of the companies that feed us. Sorvino has been able to research and break down for the reader the salient facts and how it affects each and every one of us. It’s also refreshing and fun to see the author intertwine snippets of her own life into this serious nonfiction. A must read.

A definite “should read”
Deeply researched and witnessed, the author unearths the good, the bad, and the deadly in the world’s meat supply. Something everyone should read as the production of meat and essential protein migrates to fewer and fewer sources.
