Use this the right way and it will work!!! Look at all that dead skin that came off me!
I can’t believe I haven’t heard of a kessa/hammam mitt sooner!! My skin is so soft!!! I don’t know why loofahs are the general standard for shower exfoliation. Compared to this, loofahs don’t do anything!I bought this because for a few weeks now, my skin had been itching randomly for no apparent reason, and no sign of any bumps or hives or bug bites. I hadn’t switched products or anything. I thought maybe it was stress or the hot weather or too much dust being blown around by the fan. In any case, I had a hunch that exfoliating would help. It seems I was right.I had some small, nonitchy bumps on the back of my left arm which could have been the beginning of keratosis pilaris. My right arm had no bumps. And after using this, neither of them have any.I also am susceptible to ingrown hairs where I shave. On my legs, the ingrowns are very weird- they’re not exactly ingrown. The hairs grow in under a thin layer of the skin but they can’t be shaved because there’s skin over top of them. It’s like trying to shave over top pantyhose. It doesn’t work because the hairs are flat to the skin. This glove significantly reduced that. My underarms are also unbelievably soft. The ingrowns are also why I would use this before shaving.I will no longer be wasting money on European Wax Center’s ingrown hair serum, it never really worked anyway, especially for my bikini line. I thought I had to give up waxing because the ingrowns were just so awful. The waxer always said to exfoliate and of course recommended their product. I was like “I know I have to exfoliate!” but their serum and my washcloths and dry body brush just didn’t cut it.I used to use a dry body brush for exfoliating because it’s supposed to be so good for the skin and have all these benefits but compared to this mitt, the exfoliating is zero. I threw out my dry body brush, I won’t be using it ever again. I also tried a Dylonic Brush which I got from Amazon and that plastic thing was too hard on my skin, did not solve my ingrown hairs and did not exfoliate. If I could return it for my money back, I would.I used it for the first time last night and you can see from my photos all the dead skin that came off. The grey flecks in the mitt is dead skin. The stuff on the bottom of my tub: dead skin. That gross piece of what looks like mouse droppings (sorry for the description) on the side of my tub: dead skin. So gross but so satisfying. I actually ran out of my bathroom to grab my phone and take the photos. There is a trick to using it however and to getting that much dead skin off.First you have to stand in a hot shower (or bath if you prefer, I did shower) for several minutes. And get the mitt wet too. The packaging says to use soap, I did not use any soap whatsoever on the mitt. I only use soap/cleanser on my face, underarms, down there, and any areas that got sweaty that day like under the breasts as I think soap over your whole body is wasteful and unnecessary. (And I used my cleanser after all of this exfoliating.) The purpose of soap/cleanser/body wash is to dissolve oils on your skin and impart a fresh fragrance. I don’t want to dissolve my skin’s natural oils on my whole body and soap/body wash does NOT exfoliate. So why waste product? After soaking the skin, you have to turn off the water (or get out of the bath.) I wasn’t getting any dead skin coming off when I was trying to use the mitt with the shower on. Turn off the shower and then start scrubbing. As a bonus you’ll save water.Once you turn off the water, start scrubbing and watch the dead skin start pilling up everywhere. It takes a while to scrub the whole body so re-wet the mitt if you need to but it’s better to keep the skin out of the water and I didn’t need to re-wet the mitt for the most part. Some places to really get at are the tops of the feet & ankles, behind the ears (but be gentle here), and yes your face & lips. I started with my face. I did not find it too abrasive but you will want to use a lighter touch on the face and ears or use it under running water for these sensitive areas. For every where else on the body, I was scrubbing hard and my arm got sore so I paused for a minute and then continued. It felt very invigorating and my skin got pretty red so I would say the claims about improved circulation are probably true. It’s a bit hard to reach all of your back effectively but I think I managed alright. Maybe next time, I’ll jump out of the shower and ask my mom or sister to help me.After, rinse away all the dead skin and finish up the shower. Closing with cool water is great and refreshing.I freaking love this thing. LOVE. I want to buy the 5 pack for my whole family, extras for myself and give them as gifts to everyone. In my opinion, everyone should have one of these. I don’t know why it’s not more common, nothing else works better. Not loofahs, not dry body brushing which is a pretty big skin care trend recently, not a wash cloth, not a scrub product, NOTHING. Nothing works like this.I’m gonna try throwing it in the delicates bag and putting it in the washing machine and seeing how it goes. I’m also not sure how often to use this. I guess how often to use it is an individual thing anyways so I’ll have to experiment with the frequency of use.UPDATE: I put this in the washing machine and it’s fine. The color will bleed if washed in hot water though. Not an issue for me but just something to be aware of.

Buy 2, Not 1 for extra smooth skin in less time
I purchased 2 of these mitts after trying the one from Zakia, which was rougher and fell apart quicker. This brand lasted for six months (they are not meant to last longer due to break down and potential for fungus growth), loops never broke nor did the hem, as mentioned in other reviews.A few helpful hints on how to use it for best results:1. Always wash it with soap before and after use.2. If using with Moroccan Black Soap (best results) first stand under the shower as hot as you can stand to get your pores open. Turn off water and lather your whole body with black soap, even your face! Rinse off thoroughly with warm (not hot!) water. Turn water off and place the gloves on your hands, start gently on face and neck, then move to chest, back, and arms. Especially arm pits (super soft and will take care of ingrown hairs). Then the rest of your body. Great for eliminating those winter red bumps from hips and bum! Use light pressure in sweeping motions. You will be amazed at the amount of dead skin flying off your body. After you've completed this process rinse off the dead skin that didn't fall off but do so with cool water to close your pores.I do this treatment once a week. It takes about 45 minutes, but it's worth the effort, especially in winter months. I finish up with slathering my body with Argan oil. Baby smooth doesn't really define how gloriously smooth your skin will feel.I highly recommend this product and buying two!P.S. I wasn't given the product not paid to write a review.

I am reborn!
I'll post pictures next time I exfoliate because it's honestly the most disgusting and satisfying thing I've seen in a while. Imagine your skin having a mile of grey eraser shavings. Little nasty grey worms. The amount of skin that comes off with very little pressure is astounding. I feel like I hatched, like I shed my snakeskin, like I'm reborn!I stood in a hot shower for 15 minutes or so to soften my skin. I didn't use any soap, but some people do. I shut off the water, wet the mitt until it was soaking, and went to town! So much skin ended up on the bottom of my tub, honestly disgusting, yet amazing. Pretty sure my armpits turned a shade lighter. I scrubbed in circular motions, I reversed it a few times just in case lol. I'm awful at moisturizing so I forgot to. But most people do/should. You can change how hard you scrub based on how sensitive your skin is. I'm hoping to get rid of my strawberry legs, we'll see if it happens.I don't know how I've lived without this, to be honest. My skin is soooo soft. Brb gonna go roll on fresh laundry.(But actually buy it. Like you gotta.)

If you have KP you NEEEEEEED THIS!!!
I’ve had KP (those little, sometimes reddish bumps on my arms) since I can remember. I’ve always been so self conscious about it and wanting to hide my arms. Willing to try any products to help. Nothing ever made a huge impact - maybe a little bit but not much.BUT THIS!!! I know KP is mainly due to an issue with how our skin doesn’t exfoliate as well as it should, but I didn’t realize something this simple could make such a big difference.I’ve had this little glove for a couple months now and I can’t even tell you how much different my skin looks and feels. I wish I had before and after photos.I use it a bit every 2-3 showers. Once a week I will scrub pretty hard with it. The other 1-2 times I’ll just do a very gentle exfoliation with it. Make sure you use a good moisturizer afterward. It will leave your skin pretty dry if you don’t. I like a thick body oil right after my shower.TRUST ME ON THIS. Use this glove, use a good body oil, and literally watch your skin transform. All natural way to help your skin!

Doesn't work
Followed instructions, showering in tepid water before exfoliation. There was no change and it made me itch, plus it is a little harsh, might not suit sensitive skin.

All it did was irritate my skin - tried using multiple times, didn't do much
What the title says. I had a lot of dead skin that was easily coming out even with just my hand rubbing, so figured a glove would be a bit better (was also easily coming off with a towel). I scrubbed lightly, I used exfoliators with it, I scrubbed hard, and nothing would come out. When I was done with my shower, same place, I'd just rub my fingers across it and bunch of dead skin came off.Glad this worked for other people, but personally, didn't do anything for me other than irritate my skin a bit.

Best !!!!!
The best exfoliating glove ever. Very easy to use. I was so satisfied with the results. My skin has become 10x smoother by using this. Would 100% recommend.
