I was reading another book about the music scene in L.A. in the early eighties and the author of that booked quoted this book as being one of the best of the genre. I thought that if another writer of the same type of book had praised this book it has to be good. I have not read it yet but have flipped through it to look at the pictures and read a sentence or two here and there. I am excited to read this book but have one on the go I have to finish first. Even if I had already read it, it is very hard to review books of any kind. Books a very subjective thing. Love to read, always have a book on my desk or table.

While this may come across as a book about the 80s glam metal scene, it's not. It's 500 pages of interviews with musicians from the era. If you're into that, then go ahead and buy this. I was expecting a more traditional 'book' and was therefore pretty disappointed.
