Designers Impressions Aurora Series Oil Rubbed Bronze 24" Towel Bar

This review will save you a lot of grief. The instructions that accompany the product are very weak and some of the hardware simply won't work. All of this has a simple remedy but unfortunately you may have several holes in your wall before you realize you're in trouble. The instructions do an adequate job of telling you how to install one support arm onto your wall, but you want to install a rack, which requires two support arms. Oops, they didn't give you the dimension needed between the centers of two mounting brackets and don't try to guess at it by looking at how the rack lines up when you hold it up to the wall. If your off as little as 1/4 inch you won't be able to secure the second mounting arm. Get the dimension you need before you start, by fully assembling the rack, complete with mounting brackets. Now measure from the center of one mounting bracket to the center of the other. Make sure to hold the arms tight against rod between them when you measure (two people) and add 1/16 inch to your measurement to provide a little slack.Now, throw away the wall anchors provided and use standard #8 ones. Their wall anchors have no lip on them to prevent them from sliding deeper into the wall (until they fall behind the wall) when you try to screw into them.One last thing. I recommend installing one mounting bracket vertically and the other horizontally. This will allow for any adjustment for appearance or installation. The supporting arms can be rotated on the bases to accommodate this.

I needed 2 larger oil rubbed bronze towel bars when we remodeled a bath. The towel rings and smaller bars we had in there already looked a lot like these. I shopped the big box stores, hardware stores, bath and home stores and couldn’t find anything I liked. These were about 1/3 to 1/2 less than most of the others, and they look nice. My contractor installed, but he said installation was easy. I am not sure how to rate softness?? - these aren’t soft at all nor would. I want them to be!

We have already reviewed the matching toilet paper holder and one can find it in our reviews. We just want to add that it is imperative that one does a good and level job of measuring the location of the wall-mounts. You have some leeway, but because the screw used to tighten the mount needs the proper placement, there is not [say 1/4”] a lot of wiggle-room for error.A big “buy” recommendation.

It’s an okay towel rack. Pretty but not too strong. Very light weight and cheap feel. It looks okay from far but I’m wondering if it will withstand my kids yanking the towel As they usually do. Most likely not but hey, it was just $20 bucks!

Buying bronze fixtures and decor I've gotten really nice stuff that could pass for real antique bronze, and then I've gotten some garbage that's basically copper colored tin painted flat black with some really coarse scratches on it to give it "bronze" highlights. This line of decor is somewhere in the middle, high enough on the spectrum that it works with the nice stuff. The paint is a dark brown with a workable bronze feel and the copper highlights are well enough done to not ruin it. As others have noted, these are lightweight. They won't hold up to little kids swinging on it, but they'll hold damp towels just fine.

The towel rod is exactly as I hoped it would be to go with other oiled bronze items added to update a bath. I was concerned about the dimensions of the decorative end pieces that fit over the wall bracket since they needed to cover the area of the existing rod. If anyone needs that, too, they are 2 5/8" square. It's a nice, modern look, and it seems sturdy as well as attractive.

This item arrived quickly and....YAYYY!!! MATCHES the oil rubbed bronze Delta stuff in ma bathroooooom... I like it and find it true to the pics & visually appealing, not to mention simpler and more cost effective than buying and trying to match all separately. Wish I had just ordered this right away instead of wasting so much time trying to compare. It is, however, not installed yet. I do not foresee an issue with that but some may find the towel bar part oddly light (weight-wise).

I will give this product only 2 stars which are for the metal which is fine, but the color is totally black and it supposed to be with hints of copper. Going to be returned. I waisted my time!

The towel bar looks great. Exactly as it was shown. The bar is hollow but works for me since I just use it for a hand towel. Wall brackets are very sturdy.
