Quite possibly the best set of garden tools I have ever purchased in 45 years of gardening. Redwood roots from neighbor invaded above ground planter boxes and nothing short of back breaking work got them out of one planter box. Then I noticed this tool set and used them for the second planter box. It's still not easy getting redwood tree roots out but these tools made it a lot easier, with each tool serving its own purpose. For instance, the roots wove around and around the inside edges of the planter box so the edger tool got those roots loose. The larger shovel helped lift out roots from the center and the smaller shovel worked best at the inside corners of the planter box where the edger didn't reach. Instead of two or three days removing roots from the first planter box, I was able to do do the second planter box in two hours! Removing any plants elsewhere in the garden should be a piece of cake after this redwood root project!

These garden tools are BEASTS! I finally just splurged and ordered all three. These three will replace an assortment of old, cheaper garden tools in my shed.The edger is beautiful designed and so easy to use. Leaves a tidy, clean edge with far less effort. The smallest digger glides into heavy clay with ease.Appears to be extremely well made. It never pays to buy cheap tools for the hefty demands of gardening. Buy the best when you can and take care of it is my philosophy. WAY cheaper in the long run. These should last for years.

I have what is known around here as "gumbo" soil - heavy clay that doesn't drain after a rain, clings to tools, weighs a ton, and is rock-hard in the summer. I broke two separate metal trowels trying to plant starters this year. I have broken several longer-handled tools in the past (various kinds of shovels). I saw the video review of the Root Slayer and decided it had potential. I tried out both the root slayer and the nomad today and they are amazing! Of course my clay still stuck to the tools and had to be scraped off after every other dig, but they cut right through the soil and the roots and the shafts didn't give one bit! They don't feel any heavier to me than any of the tools I've gotten at the big-box stores. Heavier than the cheapest options that I don't buy, but about the same as the standard tools I buy that don't last. The handles are comfortable and natural to grip as well. I highly recommend these tools if you have a tough job ahead.

These are the best tools for the garden. They have reduced my time in half for edging the landscape beds. A task that I normally dislike to do with a flat shovel. My husband was so impressed with the product that he actually " Had to Borrow MY Tools ".Granted they don't cut through large roots but for 90% of the tasks at hand in the yard --- These are now are 'Go To' product.They came extremely well packed and arrived on time. Will definitely deal with this company again.
