ASA Private Pilot Kit - Part 61 (ASA-PVT-61-KIT)

Not sure what some other "kits" that cost $500 plus dollars could offer you. This ASA kit is great and a great price! You really get a lot for the price and you get everything you need. The main book, "The Complete Private Pilot" is well written. The authors writes it as if he is talking to you and teaching you like your own personal instructor, it is NOT written like a regulations book or a book that simply states facts and what you need to know (like high school/college textbooks). The book teaches you valuable lessons from the instructor who wrote it. I enjoyed the book the most for its valuable insights into what flying is really like, instead of trying to just give you what you need to know. But do not be fooled, the book is very professional and organized. I really like the rest of the kit. Good product ASA.

I am signed up for an online PPL course and this kits works extremely well with the course. The books are highly informative with just enough snark to keep the reading interesting. The tools included are the basics you need and should be added to with more advanced tools as you continue you aviation career. I would recommend a "Start Here" placard though for those just starting as there are quite a number of books and if you are self studying it may be difficult to know which book to start with. While I don't need another plotter or E6B, I understand why it's in this kit. I've purchased other kits in the past from other sources. This one, by far, is the most complete and comprehensive collection of knowledge needed to pass not only the FAA written exam but also prepare for your check ride.

I an jus starting out on getting a pilots license and this kit has everything needed. The bag is very well made and very sturdy. Showed this to my instructor and he took the information on the kit and is going to suggest it to some of his other students . Very fast shipping could not have asked for a better kit.

The bag is good, the log book is far too small, the large study books are not up to date with all the continuous changes that have been coming lately.
