The โCat Pee Whispererโ That Saves Carpets and Relationships
If youโre a cat owner, you already know this product is not optionalโitโs basically part of the household emergency kit right next to band-aids and โwhy did my cat do that again?โ therapy snacks. This stuff is designed for one very specific mission: cat urine chaos control. And honestly, it does that job better than most cleaners Iโve tried. What makes it stand out compared to a lot of regular stain sprays is that it doesnโt just mask the smell with perfumeโit uses enzymes that actually break down the urine molecules so the odor source gets destroyed instead of covered up. Thatโs a huge deal, because cat pee is stubborn in a way that feels personal. Compared to cheaper โodor removerโ sprays that basically just smell like lemon lies, this one actually goes deeper into the mess. You spray it, let it sit, and the enzymes get to work continuing to break things down as long as thereโs still residue left. That โkeeps workingโ part is what makes it different from basic cleaners that dry up and give up immediately. Itโs also specifically formulated for cat urine, which matters more than people thinkโcat urine is extra strong and chemically different enough that general pet cleaners often underperform. Using it is pretty simple, which is good because nobody wants a complicated science experiment when theyโre already scrubbing carpet at midnight. You soak the area, wait a bit, blot it up, and let it finish doing its thing. It works best when you actually fully saturate the spot (yes, even more than feels reasonable), because surface spraying alone wonโt reach deeper layers where the smell likes to hide and plan its comeback tour. Now for the real talk: itโs not magic. If the mess has been sitting for a long time, or if it soaked deep into carpet padding or furniture, you might need multiple treatments. Some people also notice a light โcleaner smellโ afterward that can linger for a bitโnot bad, just very โI just cleaned a crime scene in a pet way.โ And if you donโt use enough or donโt let it sit, it can feel like it โalmost worked but not quite,โ which is usually user error more than product failure. What I also like is that itโs safer for pets and home when used properly, so youโre not basically fumigating your house just to fix one accident. That makes it way more practical than harsher chemical options. Overall, this is one of those products that earns its reputation. It doesnโt feel fancy, it doesnโt try to reinvent cleaning, it just quietly handles one of the worst smells known to humanity with surprisingly good consistency.

Really works on cat urine
This really does work. I sprayed it in areas of my bedroom on the carpet that my cat has decided to pee. I constantly clean it up and also use my carpet cleaner on it. Sometimes it just still smells like it lingers. I sprayed this all along the baseboard on the carpet and let it completely dry. I have no smell of urine in the bedroom at all.

It really works
This enzyme cleaner has been a lifesaver. Iโve recently taken over my childhood home that has been in my family for the last 30 years. 20 of those years, the house has been severely neglected while 2 to 3 people were still living in it as well as as a cat and dog. It also had a mouse infestation. The cat had made a Personal litter box in multiple spots in the house and along every single inch of the wall edge there was evidence of mouse urine. all of this has been over the course of 20 years and has never been cleaned so it was caked on and the smell was rancid. This enzyme was used on original hardwood floor. Not only did it fully remove the cat and mouse urine smell it loosened up the dirt and debris to where it wasnโt back breaking to scrub the floors by hand. Now you would never be able to tell that this house had a problem. I used a water sprayer and sprayed a thick layer of enzyme cleaner at the affected areas. I let it sit from anywhere to 5 to 24 hours. Then I sprayed it again and proceeded to scrub the affected areas with dish soap and hot water, occasionally I threw a Pine-Sol in there. I chose to do this due to the extent of dirt and how long the stains and smells had been there. None of the original hardwood was affected by the enzyme cleaner. For more history, the house itself is over 90 years old and has all the original wood.

This stuff is a lifesaver
Update 10/3/24: I'm removing a star because they recently started adding these stickers that make it extremely difficult to open the bottle. Stop doing this. It's annoying and I can't open it. If you're here because you abhor the smell of cat urine, you've come to the right place. I've been using Nature's Miracle products for years, so here are some tips if you're looking for a good urine remover. You can trust this review, as it was written by someone with 5 cats - 4 who are kittens, and exploring peeing other places than their litter box. Also, the story about my friend below is what got me really using and trusting this product more. He had so much cat pee built up on his hardwood floors and was able to remove it with this product. I am a fanatic about this cleaner. Please read on for everything you need to know about how to use this product correctly! 1. You won't be able to remove cat urine from anything without an enzymatic cleaner. So here you have it, this is an enzymatic cleaner. This is the product you need. There are other enzyme cleaners out there, but why trust the rest when you have the best? I've had others try to tell me to use baking soda or peroxide or some other combination of things can remove cat urine. The bottom line is - no they can't. Why? Because only enzymes can break down the uric acid in cat urine. Read that again - *only enzymes* can break down the uric acid in cat urine. This product is designed with specific enzymes to do just that. Other cleaners just clean the surface layer, but if the urine has sunk into lower layers of fabric, wood, foam, cement, or any other surface, the smell WILL come back to haunt you. You MUST break down the uric acid crystals to completely get rid of the smell of cat urine. 2. DO NOT DILUTE IT. This product is not as effective when diluted. If you have a big area or item to clean, don't add water to stretch the product. Your item will still smell like urine and you'll have wasted your money. Simply buy more of the product. Renters and landlords, I'm looking at you... 3. If cat pee has soaked down into layers beneath the surface (on your fabric, wood, foam, cement, etc.), it is only logical that the cleaner MUST soak down to that level to reach the pee and break up the uric acid. So what does this mean? If you're not getting results the first time using the product, you didn't leave it on long enough, or you didn't let it soak down deep enough. Apply more. Leave it on longer. Be patient. It works. 4. For clothing, I recommend spraying the item until it's fairly wet. Let it sit 3 days to have time to work and break up the urine. Then, I personally run it through the washer twice with no detergent, and a third time with detergent. Don't wash it with any other clothes - just throw it in by itself, even if it's a small load. You should be safe to dry your item after the third wash, but if you have any doubts, start over because the dryer can set it pee stains that are harder to get out. Personally, I avoid the dryer and hang dry my items. After, I check for any lingering smell. If it still smells a little, start over. Normally clothes come clean after this method once, but I've had a few fabrics hang onto the smell a bit so I repeat these steps and it does the trick. 5. For floors and hard surfaces, completely drench the area with solution. Since you want to allow the solution to soak down as deep as the cat pee, I recommend putting a towel or hand towel over the affected area and letting it soak over the spot for about a week. A friend of mine had wood floors over a cement foundation and did this method. It took time and a decent bit of solution, but the smell was completely gone by the time he was done. When in doubt, apply more. Leave it on longer. Be patient. It works. 6. For furniture, it's a given that pee will have soaked down into the cushions. Like the steps for floors and hard surfaces, you want to apply enough solution to soak down as deep as the cat pee. Since you can't throw couch cushions in the washer, you will just have to leave the solution on and wait for it to dry. You can also remove couch cushion covers and follow the steps for clothing. I have even sprayed this on a small spot on my down duvet, left it alone to dry for two days, and the pee smell and the scent of the spray is completely gone. The scent: I've seen some reviews that people don't like the smell of this solution. I have used both the store bought smaller bottles as well as the larger bottle (this item) and the smell just smells like a normal chemical product. The good thing about it is the smell doesn't last. When I have used it on laundry items, it's there for a little bit after the items are clean, but it dissipates and just smells like nothing later. So if you're worried about lingering smell, there isn't one. It dissipates *completely* with time. Plus, if you ask me, anything is better than the smell of cat urine!

Works as a Spray or as a Laundry Add-In
Potential customers should know that this works on other smells besides urine. Example: Clothes that have (for whatever reason) sat around wet and ended up smelling mildewy. If adding to a load of laundry, put in only water and the nature's miracle with the clothes, agitate the clothes, make sure they are well covered with the water and nature's miracle solution, then shut off the agitator and let them soak for half-an-hour or more. Turn the machine back on and let the cycle finish. After that do a cycle with your laundry detergent and the clothes. Dry the clothes with your favorite fabric softener sheets. You will be able to hold your dried clothes to your face, inhale, and never be able to tell they were mildewed. Note: you can NOT put the miracle destroyer and detergent in at the same time or they will cancel each other out, because one is an alkaline and one is an acid. Also great for washing doggy smelling beds. And I'm sure if, heaven forbid, you got sprayed by a skunk, it would work on that. Not sure why they felt the need to change the packaging and put a picture of a cat on it, but this is truly helpful stuff, aptly named.

What's better than NM Urine Destroyer spray? A 1 gallon refill!
I've been using Nature's Miracle products for years. The Urine Destroyer is great to spray on flooring or furniture or rugs - wherever you need to eliminate urine. It doesn't just cover up pee smell...it gets rid of it and mostly prevents cats from peeing or marking in the same spot. It isn't 100% effective all the time, but it is my go to when I have to get urine out of surfaces and flooring. It leaves a pleasant, refreshing smell which fades quickly to no smell at all, which is best case scenario.

Best product Iโve used
This stuff is AMAZING. My mother in law passed away a few months ago and we inherited her cat. He doesnโt get along with one of my cats and apparently was too afraid to leave my room to use his litter box so he urinated on my bed. I used a handheld upholstery cleaner to get the initial mess out of the mattress but it still smelled terrible. I saw this product had excellent reviews so decided to go with this one and Iโm happy I did. By the time I got the product it was the next day so of course the area was already dry but I followed what the instructions and other reviews said to do which is basically thoroughly saturate the area and let it sit for several hours. I used my handheld cleaner to suction up the excess product after sitting for a few hours then put a fan on it to dry. And the smell is completely gone. The product itself has a slight citrus scent to it but Iโll take that over the smell of cat urine any day! I have since reorganized my room and moved his litter box and food bowl into my bedroom to avoid any more middle of the night surprises. I got the 1 gallon container and thought it was on the high side price wise but after seeing the results I feel itโs worth it. Itโs less expensive than a brand new mattress.

Why must irritating fragrances be added to everything?
It seems to work great when I follow the instructions on ceramic tile with unsealed grout. However, the strong fragrance triggers my asthma and my mom's COPD during the soaking period. The floor smells neutral when it dries, but the fragrance gets into the HVAC system. We live in a hot climate so opening the windows is not an option most of the year. It is less fragranced than some other products I have tried. I just don't get why manufacturers add the cover up odors to products that actuality get rid of the urine smell on their own. I will likely be trying another brand instead of buying the refill.

Best product ever
We have a feral cat his urine is absolutely disgusting. He kept peeing in my sonโs room and I tried multiple times to clean it with multiple different products and nothing worked. This is the best product I have tried. It worked the first time and the smell was completely gone.

Miraculous
So the dreaded thing happened...my cat went into heat and peed on the dog bed. Ugh, awful stench. I had no idea how I was going to get the smell out. I nearly through out the bed. Then I discovered this miracle working stuff. Not only does it completely remove the stink, it leaves a pleasant fragrance in its place. I couldn't be happier!
