I’ve been a big fan of layrite and have used it since I was a teen. However I was in a bind and needed a water-soluble pomade asap.I was willing to gamble on this product and it didn’t disappoint. The scent of this product is nice and subtle.When used properly, the product is fairly lightweight and held my hairdo fairly well. The event I attended was in the middle of L.A. in 100+F degree weather and my hair stood in place. Good stuff!

This is a decent product. I use it to keep my frizzies in control. Not as good as the Aveda - but it’s half the price!!

Granted I don't know much about what I'm supposed to do with this (I bought it 'cause it was recommended on a YouTube hair video ha), but I LOVE THIS. It smells FANTASTIC, everytime I use it my hair is SO soft afterwards, and the hold is strong yet light, it doesn't make your hair really crunchy. And did I mention the smell! Mmm! I sometimes use a small bit to smooth down flyaway. Whether I use it the right way or not I don't know, but I do love this product!

I enjoy using this product so far! Florida is humid and this lovely wax has held my flyaways neatly down! It is more waxy than oily and I like that because it allows for more control/protection against humidity!

Figured I’d give this a shot!! Didn’t care for it too much, there wasn’t a scent AT ALL in what I received. The texture of it was fine. I tried to shrug off the fact that there wasn’t a smell (which is what I bought it for) and used it for a day anyway. It held well but I do suggest you warm it up in your hands before applying or it just makes a huge clumpy mess in your hair. Won’t be buying again, very disappointed.

Works really well, can dampen hair & reset to go out for nite or change look completely for next day. Doesn't cause buildup so can do a 2 day "DO" and go!!

The media could not be loaded.  It works on curly hair to tame frizz. It does give it a wet look without being too crunchy but it can dry hard like a regular gel would the more you put. In the video it might look like it would be hard to apply but if you break it down in your hands it practically melts. So far the only thing I don't really like is the scent. It's a light scent I just think it's too chemically for me.Tips for curly hair. If you weren't sure if you could use pomade. Yes you can! A little moisture in the hair helps to apply pomade (not too much with water based pomade, it will break it down). Add a little at a time until you think it's enough and hit it with a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer to make your curls pop. If it's too crunchy, scrunch it. Hope this helps someone!

This is not made for a women hell this is not even made for a man! This stuff is so hard coming out and even harder trying to rub it in your hands and worse when putting in your hair. All day my hands were so greasy and my hair was worse I could not wait to get back home to wash it out of my hair. It took 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners to get it all out.All the reviews must be fake I dont know how people recommend this product its not good. After one use I threw the whole thing away
