I got the grey and it was adorable for our newborn photos. Works for boys and girls, and soft so it doesn't scratch against sensitive baby skin. It is a little large because the back is split open, but I don't think that affected the photos at all. You could stitch or pin up the back if you want it to fit tight. The baby in these photos is two weeks old, about 9 lbs. The little teddy bear is just too cute as well!

This set is ADORABLE. I like to knit but time escaped me and I suddenly realized my nephew was going to be born in a few days. Amazon to the rescue. I was a little hesitant because I wasn't sure how the quality would be, but I needed something that would arrive quickly. When it came, I couldn't have been more pleased with my purchase. The hat seriously looks handmade - so much so, that most of my family assumed I made it myself!! The little teddy *might* look hand-done, but I can't speak from experience because I personally never knitted a stuffed animal. The teddy is cute.The product description markets this for a 0-3 month old baby. I think this is accurate. My nephew was 8.5 pounds at birth and we put this hat on him while he was still in the hospital. It had some room, but didn't look huge by any means. It made for the most adorable pictures.As can be clearly seen from the photo, the teddy bear uses little black beads on the face. Yes this is a choking hazard, but even the teddy itself is a choking hazards for baby that young. For this age, I think it is meant to be used as a photo prop. It would look nice as decoration in the baby's room, and then can be played with when they are a little older. It's also small enough that it could fit into a shadow box if you would just prefer to preserve the memory.This may be my new go-to baby product! I do love to knit, but I'm not sure I can beat the price and quality of this set!

This set is even more adorable in person than it is online. It came smelling weird, but after I washed it, it and as fine. I found this set to be surprisingly soft. I like that the back has a slit so it can be tied to fit newborns and bigger babies. I think this hat could fit up to a 3 month old. The picture I included is the hat on my 2 month old (who is big for his age). I plan to do a newborn photoshoot in a few days with it, so I will post a picture of a newborn in it. I love this product and I would buy it in more colors.

Adorable, great fit, super soft!!!! I bought this on a whim before newborn photos and the product picture does not do it justice. Even the photographer said it’s the cutest thing she’s seen someone bring for a photo shoot. It’s also so soft and comfortable that this will be his go to hat for the winter months for sure. Highly recommend!!!

Love this adorable set! The mini teddy bear makes a great prop for photoshoots! It would be nice to have a bottom piece though. Anywho, the knitted hat was a bit loose at first, but fits perfectly once my baby reached his 1st month. Overall, good quality!

String offgassing smell on hat and bear. Would not trust my infant alone with the toy, looks like a strange styro-plastic interior. Was planning to use as oart ofnour families “Goldilocks and the three bears” halloween costumes; purchased a bear sleep suit from Carters instead because I can’t handle the smell of the cheap acrylic yarn!
