Q: what is the country or origin where these are made?

As I purchased this back in July of last year, I don't have the packaging any longer, and a search online has produced no information as to the origin of the product. It is, however, very well made and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Q: How big are the holes?

The holes vary in size. The smallest (which is in the circle at the bottom) is about 1/4” wide. They open up as you get to the top. The holes on the last row (at top) are about 1/2” wide.

Q: What is th depth of the basket for the 5" and 7"?

We bought the 5" and I would say it slopes down to about 2" depth in the middle.. I would add that ours was surprisingly well made...very happy with it.
