The glass lid completely shattered!
The glass lid shattered into a million pieces while in the oven. Of course we couldn’t eat the dish. So our meal was ruined. This was the 1st time using this casserole. So very upsetting!!!! 😞😞😞

HOT LID KNOBS!!
I love Corning Ware including these new light weight pans. They're beautiful, clean lines and cook well. However, after cooking in them and removing from the oven, an hour later I went to pick up the lid by the knob and burnt my fingers!! We ordered some new knobs on Amazon as a replacement. If you order these pans and I have 5...get new knobs!

Cast Iron rim comes off on potholders/hands
I agree with most of the reviews. It's lightweight, looks nice, cooks well both on the top of the stove and in the oven; however, yesterday I got the pot out of the oven and noticed black smudges on my pot holders. Checking further, I noticed that the pot has a cast iron rim around the top - just fraction of an inch. I thought it was just decoration. It's the cast iron coming off. I've washed it in the dishwasher and once by hand. Still doing the same thing. Concerned if it's food safe now. Is this normal?

A honest review from a terrible cook.
Ok, so I am a terrible cook. I have been trying desperately to improve but well let’s just say some people truly can’t be taught. During my attempt to make homemade sourdough (what was I thinking) I purchased this Dutch oven with child like faith that I would be baking amazing sourdough loaves. Tragically, my journey into the world of bread making was cut short after multiple failed attempts at a sourdough starter. Fast forward a week and my tried and true crockpot died. The untimely death came when I had committed to make pot roast for dinner, one of the few meals that is actually edible and my family actually likes. So I throw all my ingredients in the Dutch oven and slow roast it all day….fingers crossed. Now I have a feeling to any real cooks out there this isn’t earth shattering but to me this was uncharted territory. 8 hours later…my family is enjoying the best pot roast ever. Let’s put it this way it was so good they thought someone else made it…hey for me that’s a compliment. So….I highly recommend this product!
