I've been researching about Marshmallow Root and decided to try it to help with symptoms of Sjogren's Syndrome. I put it in my coffee for about a month now. While I don't have any empirical data to show that it, in fact, helped lubricate anything, I think it did. I was taking it much like slippery elm, to help with lubrication and inflammation. It seemed to help the digestive tract and unexpectedly, ahem, move things along nicely. I plan to continue using it for awhile. From what I can tell, the powder looks very pure and goes a long way. I'm pleased with this product, as usual, from Bulksupplements.

Tastes surprisingly like marshmallow. I don't know why people don't make their own marshmallow flavored treats instead of toxic Rice Krispie Treats, which I be addicted to if I didn't know about the ingredients.So I added some to a muffin recipe to approximate to something marshmallow flavored. It was stronger than I thought. I forgot this was a concentrated extract, not powdered root. So it was really sweet despite the fact I didn't add sugar.I add it to my coffee and it's really nice. I had originally gotten it for family members to add to their coffee, and to incorporate in the products I make them -- since marshmallow root extract is touted as an anti-inflammatory. I haven't gotten feedback on that point yet.So: It's concentrated; it's finely textured, which makes it good for mixing in with skincare ingredients/food/drinks; it tastes and smells more 'marshmallow' than any "marshmallow" product I now realize was synthetic.***I would prefer different packaging; I'm hoping it's not aluminium. These packages don't close easily when the powders are so fine.So it's good to have a set of airtight spice jars to keep it. As an extract, I assume it needs the airtight aspect.I also wonder how it's extracted. I have never read on bulk supplements labels how they extract: water? glycerin? alcohol? What ratio?It's clear it's not organic...but that's how they get the price point.I made do because i needed to make a product for someone with inflammation and wanted the marshmallow aspect for same-day delivery. It turned out I rather liked the taste, so I suspended my disbelief for this one.

I started with this marshmallow root powder by Bulk Supplements, adding it to my coffee for Endometriosis & IC bladder issues. It’s light in color, creamy tasting, with a hint of a slight sweetness in my opinion & dissolves well in hot beverages. I tried another brand of marshmallow powder & boy was that been a mistake...it was too gritty & almost like tasting dirt in my low acid coffee. I’m right back to Bulk Supplements Marshmallow Root Powder & won’t try another now. Love that it’s organic too! Marshmallow Root Extract can be used as an anti inflammatory supplement, but also has many other health benefits such as boosting the immune system, dry cough, inflammation of the lining of the stomach, diarrhea, stomach ulcers, constipation, urinary tract inflammation & stones in the urinary tract plus many more. I use one teaspoon of marshmallow root powder, 1/2 teaspoon of D-Mannose powder, 1 scoop of L-Glutamine powder & 1 scoop of Collagen Peptide powder & 1/2 teaspoon of D-Ribose powder all in a latte cup for my one cup of low acid coffee in the morning with half coffee & half coconut milk creamer. This allows me to be able to enjoy my one cup of coffee a day, but I did have to build up to this as an IC patient, starting off with drinking a lot of water with D-Mannose powder for several months & completely cutting out coffee.If you suffer from bladder pain, intestinal issues, etc., ask your doctor about adding marshmallow root powder to your daily regimen depending on what medications you take, any medical history, etc. Hope this helps!

I received this product free for my full and frank opinion.Ok so I know the herb very well as a whole herb used in beauty preparations. However, I was very surprised as it's powdered form. Very fine, absorbed well into ,lotions and conditioners. I have taken it internally and have noticed a change in my skin which is plumper and softer. Which is never a bad thing . When the pouch is empty I will order again it's become a staple in my beauty formulas. Highly recommend this super fine high quality ingredient.
