They work but they don't look good
Got these to try them for my wedding centerpieces. Cool because they turn on when you put them in the water and yeah the kinda float - not flat tho. They also have a flat bottom that is very noticeable when you put them in the water. Wouldn't bother with these.

It would not do what it is intended to do, it would not light up when placed in the water.

Floats crooked
To be fair, I only tried out one candle. They are very small but I would have overlooked the size if it were the only issue. When I put the one candle light in the vase of water, it did not float straight up. The candle listed like a ship taking on water! Not the look I wanted at all!
