I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to for this coffee press. I’ve wasted so much money on replacing the glass on my old press and decided to give this one a go. I’m so glad I did. It’s robust, not too heavy, feels comfortable when pouring and keeps coffee warm for ages. I even like the little llama logo engraved on the side! It's excellent value for money and even came with spare filters. I’m a very happy coffee drinker.

It looks extremely elegant – polished stainless steel with clean lines and a sturdy feel, yet not heavy. It is well balanced to hold. There is a useful arrow on the top which indicates the position of the top for pouring so when I let the coffee brew, I turn the arrow away from the spout to keep the heat in. I also like the volume levels etched on the inside, so I can fill it with hot water to the required amount, avoiding any guess work. NB. I arrange the cafetiere so the available light shines on the scale to make it easy to see.It makes great coffee with a lovely rich flavour and pours well. I have the 1 litre version which will make 4 mugs coffee, although I generally use it to make 2 mugs. The 1 litre version is easy to clean as I can get my hand in. When I have drunk my coffee, I scape the coffee grinds into the kitchen bin with a plastic spatula to avoid scratching the stainless.I conducted a little experiment to test the insulation of the cafetiere.The room temperature was 20C. I filled the cafetiere with 2 mugs boiling water. I did not pre-warm the cafetiere. Coffee temp 90C. I poured 1 mug coffee. The remaining coffee was 61C after 1 hour and 45C after 2 hours.I did the same with a glass cafetiere and the coffee was 49C after 1 hour,so my stainless cafetiere gives me a hot cup of coffee for up to 1 hour and a good cup after 2 hours. Twice as good as my glass cafetiere.

After smashing two glass cafetiere's, I figured to go with something a bit more robust.Love the simple design and it keeps coffee nice and warm for over an hour.We get about three large mugs of coffee from it.

Was hoping that this coffee maker would have been a bit bigger (why can't we have one that makes a bigger quantity for when you have company?) but 1 litre seems to be the norm. Coffee pot looks good and does seem to keep the coffee hot , although don't have much liquid left after pouring a couple of normal sized mugs so this is hard to judge. All these type of pots are messy to clean but this is no worse than any others I've used. My only real criticism is that is makes a horrible metallic scraping noise as you plunge the filters down and pull them up again. Overall though it does the job and is good value for money.

Bought to give as a present. Because it is stainless steel, dishwasher proof and comes with extra filters, it seems just perfect.

Looks good, pours well, stays hot. Sturdy and great value dod for money. 10/10!!

Love this cafetière. Bought it to replace a glass one that smashed when it lept out of a cupboard in our hired motorhome on the Scottish NC500. Used it camping in Silverstone & decided to use it day to day rather than pack away in the camping gear. Beautifully made, simple, smart, light weight & keeps coffee hot for ages. Love the little arrow to line up the lid for pouring. You can confidently pour until it stops knowing the coffee grounds our contained under the fine mesh. No cafetière is easy to clean but this is better than others we’ve had - no smeared glass. Lots of thought has gone into the design. Well done. Would never buy another glass one.

Love the look of this item. We had a coffee machine and the jug cracked, so have gone for this cafetière instead. Looks good in the kitchen, half way does 2 mugs, full to the top does about 4 mugs. Have just had a second mug after 1.5 hours and still nice and hot, so will stay drinkable for a good 2 hours as described. Love it!
