Collagen Peptides Powder | Paleo Friendly Hydrolyzed Grass-Fed Non-GMO Collagen Protein, 32 oz

I just bought this and have only used it twice. It arrived Thursday and today is Friday. However, since there are a few bad reviews out there about taste and mix ability, I will rate this product now as I have experience with both for this product.First let me say - . I have several health issues, some serious and life long. One is Psoriasis and psoriatic/rheumatoid arthritis. After 14 years of biologics that don’t work and pill form chemo that destroyed my body, other issues have arisen as a result including damage from chemo. I’m not a huge fan of big pharma and I’ve decided to try a more holistic approach. I drink (2) 8oz collagen peptides drinks per day. One in the am and one before bed. I mix the powder with warm water I heat up in the microwave first. I then add a tablespoon of chia seeds and a squirt of water flavoring. I make enough for the week and bottle in my empty, clean Boost nutrition shake bottles and refrigerate. I think my added photos show why I still drink collagen peptides.I’ve been using Ordain collagen peptides for $24.99 at Walmart since April. That container lasts me 2 weeks. Since I need to purchase twice per month for a total of $50 a month, I was looking for grass fed collagen peptides a little cheaper. This brand at $16.99 for the same amount would total $34 a month, a $16 savings. That’s perk 1Perk 2 - this brand looks, feels, smells and tastes the same as Ordain. In fact there is no smell or taste which is a huge perk for me. I need this to not have any flavor as I drink it straight from the bottle it’s made in / chilled and with chia seeds.Perk 3 - it mixes just fine. Any powdered anything will clump when mixed with cold water (except koolaid). If you look at the gel formed from homemade bone broth - it becomes clear liquid when warm. So it is recommended to mix this powder with warm to hot water (palatable coffee/tea temp) to completely dissolve to clear appearance before adding cold water or ice. There is no residue in the bottom of the bottle or cup when blended with warm water so you get the full benefit of the recommended dose.Anyone with health, skin, nail, hair issues or in need of extra protein in their daily diet will benefit from collagen peptides. Overall, this product is perfectly adequate. Its major selling point is the price point. This product is a much finer powder than other hydrolyzed collagen powders I've tried. It's not quite flour-textured, but pretty close. Other brands seem to have larger (more abrasive?) granules. This product does clump a lot more because it is such a fine powder, but it does fully dissolve. It just takes a little longer than other brands. Again, this is an inconvenience, but it's hardly a deal breaker. Also, because it is such a fine powder, I puffs into a little powder cloud as I dumb the scoop into my cup. This leaves a fine dust film on the counter top, which I wipe immediately. These are the drawbacks of it being so finely ground. I've also detected a faint tart taste to this product. Again, this is not a deal breaker, but it did register and has taken a couple days of getting used to. I mix the collagen powder into broth, which masks most of the subtle taste, but I still detected the very slight tartness.Bottom line:1. It does clump, but it will fully dissolve-- just takes an extra minute.2. It also has a slightly more noticeable taste, but this is not off putting.3. It's a little messier because of the dust cloud it makes.4. It has an amazing price point.Review update:I switched back to my older brand of collagen once this pouch of Earthtone Collagen ran out. To my surprise, I had gotten so used to the mildly tart taste of this collagen that I actually miss it. I now prefer the flavor of the Earthtone for my broth. I will continue to order this brand in the future. The extra dissolving time (about an additional minute) is not such an inconvenience that it would stop me from buying this product.

Item arrived on time. I have finished a whole bag. Using it consistently as 2T a day in my coffee. I see a lot of reviews talking more about the blending ability and the taste. It blends fine in hot beverages. I use a Bullet and never had a problem. You probably need to use some sort of blending helper like a bullet or a coffee frother to get best results. It's not sugar so don't expect it to blend like sugar. I did see a complaint about it being to powdery. Well it's a fine powder so it will be powdery. I had no issue with it. Open bag gently like you would any other powdery product. I used a measuring spoon inside the bag with no issue of getting it all over the place. Also, flavor wise, it had a very, very slight taste but it's barely detectable. Also let's remember it is a beef product. Now for the most important part of the review....does it work?? I'd say yes it does. I'm using 2T a day in my morning coffee and I have seen and felt a significant difference in my skin. It's more supple and soft. I used to have very dry skin and it's so nice to have it done. It didn't remove wrinkles but like I said my skin is way more supple. I plan on increasing my dosage to 2T in the am and 2T in the evening, which is the recommended dosage. Also I work a very physical job and am in my early fifties. I do feel like it does aide in my daiky recovery time. I am trying a different product this go round only because I found a larger quantity at a decent price. If they offered this brand in larger quantities at a decent price I probably would have purchased from them again.
