This keeps the wind and rain out. The Hood is a bit on the large side. It is a close fit, so unless you are out in the back of beyond a sweater under the coat should be enough to keep you warm.

When it came I was aware it wasn't as heavy, warmth wise, as I saw the picture to be. After wearing it though I found it very comfortable and excellent as a wet weather coat.

The description states that the jacket is machine washable but the washing instructions state sponge clean only. I messaged the supplier and this was confirmed. I asked them to correct the error but it still states machine washable Songing a few marks off the body should be ok but what about the lining and cotton collar.. The jacket itself seems to be well made but only time will tell

I purchased a extra size , always got problems with de distance between the shoulders,this is comfy ,extra pockets and warm, colud be one size small better but happy

A very comfortable and warm coat

The coat is lovely, however, very DISAPPOINTED that all the reviews i had read about the zip were correct; it broke within just 3 weeks. It is unfixable as the teeth fell out of it part way up. Its a shame because the rest of the coat is great.
