Escutcheon Replacement for Moen 16090 Chateau Collection, for One-Handle Tub and Shower Faucets, Brushed Nickel

I bought this to replace a decades-old Moen unit which had flaking chrome plating. This is clearly very good quality and fits in place very well. Highly polished, it complements the other chrome accessories very well. It has a compressible rubber seal on the back which prevents water from leaking behind and possibly into the faucet and/or wall. The stainless steel screws are well made and more than sufficiently long to clamp it securely in place. Overall, I am very pleased with this high quality replacement.

Replaced original Moen trim plate in fraternity house shower room. Once the knob and original plate were removed, it went on easily. Perfect fit. Appears to be of good quality. Only time will tell if it wears well, no corrosion, etc.

Purchased almost 2 years ago and still looks good the shower it went in is used most every day and it still cleans off nice and looks great.

Works. Replaced a 30 year escutcheon with this. You may have to stretch the foam seal a hair in order to fit over the stop tube, but that just means it's a nice, tight fit.

The tiny hot/cold dots are very modern compared to the stamped words from other companies. Also, brushed nickel is difficult to find so it is a blessing to see it installed. Unfortunately after I remodeled a couple bathrooms, the 3rd one they sent was chrome, not brushed nickel. I've sent it back 3 times and they keep sending me the same chrome finish. This time I had to physically write one the package "Not brushed nickel". It took an entire month to receive my money back. UPDATE: After waiting a few weeks I ordered again and received the correct one!

Did you know if your plate cracks it is extremely difficult to find a replacement? Generally, you’d have to buy a whole new shower set for $150.00. The was a fabulous find. It might seem expensive, but not available in any stores we visited and very easy to install. We are buying a second one.

Fit perfect and has been on for over a year and the finish is still good.

This is as good a quality as the original.Changed from the original brass (gold) and it fit perfect.The only thing I wish came with it was the sleeve that goes in the centre as I went from gold to chrome.Other than that perfect.

Worked as it should, looks great.
