Written almost 100 years ago, this is a true masterpiece from one of the greatest thinkers the world has ever seen. Ambedkar's vision of an ideal society where an "ascending sense of reverence and a descending sense of contempt dissolves into a compassionate society" is more relevant than ever given the increasing amount of bias-driven tension, strife and conflict everywhere. Additionally, his illuminating comments on usage of the label 'Dalit' find a great deal of similarity on the usage of similar derogatory labels all over the world to describe historically oppressed communities, which tend to not only misrepresent but also exacerbate the systemic disadvantages faced by these communities.
