Easy to set up can not see cam nice all round clock

Real rubbish not working.I waste my money.I am so so upset.it didn't look like in the picture. It looks like a baby toy.I am so gutted.it didn't It didn't It didnt worth the money.Not impressed at all.

no idea why, but I just could not get this gadget to pair using the app. i tried again and again, but no joy, so can only score on my own experience. Its a bit expensive if its just a clock, so not for me

My father is now elderly and has carers, and this clock has been ideal for checking in his care when needed. I’m pleased to report that it has shown his care is absolutely fine, but it gives us peace of mind to know we can check.It’s fair to say you would never guess this clock has a camera in it, and just looks like standard electric digital alarm clock, and indeed does have those features too. The device needs really to be plugged in via the supplied USB cable for continued use, as although it does have a rechargeable battery, that is really only for using during power outages (which we have a lot of!), and only lasts a few hours.It has some good features, but also some drawbacks, the primary one being that you need to purchase your own SD card if you want to continually record, which for the money you’re paying is a bit disappointing, as these days they’re hardly that expensive to not have one included I feel. Or you can subscribe within the Tuya App for cloud storage, so again an extra cost. If continued recording is not needed the just using the app is fine, so it really depends what you need it for.Another thing to consider is location. The camera doesn’t have a very wide angle horizontally oe vertically, so if you want to capture people, rather than animals for example, the you do need to place the camera somewhere relatively high, such as a shelf or a mantelpiece (though it would look odd on your mantelpiece!).It uses the Tuya app, which is straight-forward to use if you’re used to phone apps, and pairing was fine. The device sits in your Wi-Fi to work with the app, so a strong signal is needed where the clock is located. Picture and sound quality is decent enough and people/faces are identifiable if needed for that purpose.All in all this is a decent product. I do have a few niggles as mentioned, so for that reason it’s three stars from me.

Now this could be a really nifty product however there is one major floor in the design. The blue light from the clock is undimable and does not auto dim with the amount of light coming in. It is like having a neon light in your room all night and completly unusable. Shame as the rest is OK just really let's you down

But a device like this is also open to abuse, there will always be some who would be prepared to use this for more dastardly deeds. The device itself looks innocent enough, it is made to look like a digital clock sitting on the shelf. But it holds a hidden camera lens which records all that it sees, be it during daylight hours or hours of darkness through night vision. That is where the problem lays with me as anyone looking at this will only see a digital clock, they will not be aware that they are being watched via video.The build quality of this is excellent, the clock is quite small but very heavy for it's small size. This holds a 2,800 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The spy clock can be powered via the included battery or left connected to a USB power supply via the included cable. The camera can be accessed via phone app or through your home wi-fi, this makes it easy for keeping an eye on things if away from home. The video quality available is 1080p, but the device defaults to 720p to allow for greater storage space. Everything that you need is provided in the box with the exception of a Micro SD card. You only need a Micr SD card if you wish to save the recorded video to file, the maximum size card this supports is 128 GB.This certainly is a clever bit of kit that appears to be well made. I had a very hard time believing this had a camera inside because it was concealed so well and you would honestly never know. It can be used in daylight hours and at nighttime because it has night vision which is good. It is a good way of keeping your house safe, a certain room because on the outside it just looks like a clock so no one would be able to tell.It can be recharged or it can also be left connected to a USB cable, depending on what you prefer. The image quality is good and you can clearly see different areas and faces and things like that. You can also get motion detection notification which is good.Works well and is a clever piece of technology.
