I absolutely loved this rug (set) when it arrived--perfect size and color, which I had had a lot of difficulty finding. HOWEVER, when I washed it, a lot of fibers came loose, winding up on the washer tub wall, inside all the little holes and inside the lint filter (which my husband had to access by following YouTube instructions). I was very angry at first and left a one star review, but am changing it to a three, because after it dried, loose fibers vacuumed, and many still attached cut with scissors, it looks decent enough to put back on the floor. It hadn't been "bald" after coming out of the washing machine, just matted. I will be looking for a replacement, which I will hopefully find before this needs washing again.

Stay clear of this brand. Threw it in a agitator less gentle cold water wash upon receipt and it's already falling apart. Worst thing is not the $15 waste of my money but the damage it can do to your $1k washer.

For the new bathroom remodel, the accessory color scheme is gray. It is surprisingly hard to find a small gray bathmat in this size, but after some deductive searching on Amazon, I found this item. Conceptually it is what I wanted - something thicker than a towel, no rubberized material that would degrade after multiple washings, and a reasonably soft feel on the feet. This has adequate cushioning, and being entirely textile in construction, will have no problems in the wash (although I have yet to try). My only issue is that the appearance seemed a bit worn, even though it was brand new, and felt fine to the touch. The cotton loops seem to be holding up so far, but we haven't put them through much wear. Given the difficulty of finding this exactly combination of features, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Would not recommend buying. I washed rugs before using because they were very linty. Literally took out bunches of rug from washer. Dryer lint trap was totally full 3 times before they were dry. Line drying would have been almost impossible. Rugs shed so badly that edges were bare in several places. Also had loops and pile that were coming loose, so spent a lot of time trimming them. Rugs not shaped well (crooked along edges) and very slippery on floor. Not usable, so they are now in storage.

I bought this mat in December 2016, now it's April 2017, and it's falling apart! When I first got the mat it was pretty "eh" but it got the job done and kept my bathroom floor dry. However I noticed that if you pull gently on one of the loops, it easily comes out. Over time this has gotten worse and the mat looked pretty shabby after a single run through the washing machine. Also the fibers are difficult to clean and any sort of debris or lint in your washing machine get stuck to it, forever (it seems).I bought this bath mat primarily because it was Laura Ashley - a brand my mother used to love, growing up in the 90's. I remember my Laura Ashley bed clothes being excellent quality and I still have some to this day. The company has either made some extreme changes to the quality of their products, or maybe it's a knockoff, but I would not buy this again!

I have the larger size of this yellow bath mat, which is in front of mt bath vanity, and wanted a matching one for he tub. Although smaller than I wanted for stepping out of the bathtub, it will do. Some reviewers said it didn’t wash well, but the one I already have comes through the wash just fine.

I only purchase all cotton bath mats because they are easy to wash and dry. Bath mats with rubber backing have previously disintegrated in my front load washing machine causing the filter to be clogged with pieces of rubber backing. The styling on this mat gives it a classier look that other plain white mats I have purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

First washing.... followed instructions EXACTLY, massive amount of shedding, requiring by hand removal of cotton from washer, hose filter and sink. Dry rot ??? After line drying even more cotton loss and looks awful. Have owned this style of bath rugs for over twenty years, without a single problem. Disappointing and have returned for refund.

Loved the sizes and colour
