Bluevua RO100ROPOT Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System

I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks. Before buying it, I had been purchasing distilled water in gallon jugs for a long time, and I was getting tired of constantly buying water in plastic containers. I did quite a bit of research and chose this one because it seemed like a good balance of price and performance. Setup was fairly easy since it’s a countertop unit, but I definitely recommend reading the instructions carefully before getting started. I tested the water quality after setting it up and was happy with the result. The water tastes clean and good, and filtration is much faster than I expected. I previously used a distilled-water machine that took around four hours to make water, and the water honestly didn’t taste very good. Because of that, I find myself choosing this machine every time now. The noise doesn’t bother me at all. It does take up a decent amount of counter space, but I think of it as roughly the space I would otherwise use for a couple of gallon water jugs, so I can live with it. The downside is the amount of water that has to be discarded during the process. It feels wasteful, although I understand that this is part of how an RO system works. The maintenance required if the machine isn’t used for 48 hours also seems a little inconvenient, but I’d rather do that than compromise the cleanliness of the water. My main wish would be for a future version to be more compact. Other than that, I’m very happy that I no longer have to keep buying gallon jugs of distilled water.

I absolutely love this thing, with a few drawbacks. If you can, I would advise getting an udersink variation, as this takes up a lot of time and counterspace in comparison. Also, I live by myself, and have to fill this thing 2-3 times a day so if you have any more than 2 people I'd think that the hassle of refilling again and again would be painful. I use this water for everything possible: -Ice -Pasta/Rice water -Humidifier -Coffee -Essential oil diffuser -etc. I would bathe in it if I could. It tastes so smooth that it has ruined all other water for me, and I only want my RO water. It's to the point where I bring a full water bottle every time I leave the house. (helps keep me hydrated!) I did a fair amount of research before buying, and this seemed to be my best option for my situation as I couldn't install an undersink unit. This thing is expensive but it works. If you are consuming the water, be sure to ALWAYS use the remineralizer attatchment. This is because plain RO water is so pure that it will actually pull nutrients/minerals out of your body, ironically dehydrating you. It can also cause long term effects in the body. Same goes for DI or distilled water. One comes included and needs replacing only every 6 motnhs or so. Use it. I've filled the carafe about 100 times or so in the past month and here are a few things I've learned: 1. There is a surprising amount of waste water that takes some getting used to 2. The tank when filled to max fills about 1 and 1/5 carafes, which is annoying. To combat this fill the tank to about an inch below max so that the water runs out before filling the carafe. This way it wastes a bit less water and I need to refill the tank with every carafe. I would recommend this for ease of use. 3. The TDS-in increases throughout the fill process due to the waste water being pumped out and concentrating in the remaining water. 4. The TDS-out is NEVER zero, but for me, where the water isn't too bad, averages around 7, which I'd say is pretty good. Sometimes, it spikes somewhere in the middle of the fill to the low 20's as shown in the 2nd picture. However thats the worst I've seen it. At least its honest and accurate, and it isn't something you would likely get in an undersink application. To simplify, I'll make a pros and cons; PROS: - Extremely effective at removing contaminants such as fluoride, pesticides, or even microplastics. A feature unattainable from jug filters like Brita or Zero water -Water tastes amazing, especially with the remineralizer. Awesome for infused water as well. -TDS reader is a really cool feature -Easy to operate, get used to it quickly -Automatic backflush -High quality overall, especially the Glass carafe CONS: -can be tedious to fill and refill -Waste water is more than expected -Has a fairly large footprint, in my small apartment it takes up a lot of counterspace -Expensive -Max fill tank is an odd amount of water, only one full carafe per tank -the different fill settings are a bit hard to gauge if the carafe isn't empty. (S:0.5L M:1L L:1.7L) TL:DR Buy this if you want to properly protect yourself from the vast array of contaminants in your water, or if you want some water so tasty that it changes your way of living. Worth the money and counter space if you can spare it.

I began to like this Bluevua product before I had un-boxed it—the packaging was superior. Bluevua’s setup and operating instructions, along with the enclosed pamphlet, “A Mix of Green,” made the product easy-to-learn and use—and these materials provided me with a knowledge-level understanding of Bluevua’s efforts to 1) reduce environmental waste by using 100% recyclable packing materials, 2) reduce my (filtered water) expenses and my “plastics” environmental footprint, and 3) enhance my well-being by providing me with safe drinking water. All that was great, but my motivation to purchase this product was the current distilled water shortage in the Washington DC Metro Region. I needed distilled water for CPAP machines and humidifiers, and I grew weary of driving to stores and finding empty shelves. This Bluevua product definitely gets the job done—about five minutes to produce 1.7 liters of purified (and demineralized) water and fill the included “high borosilicate” glass carafe. The carafe seemed an ideal size to go in my refrigerator, but I hadn’t planned to do this since my refrigerator produced filtered water already: I may change my mind—more on this shortly. My household requires about three gallons of demineralized water per day during the heating season—that’s 90 plastic jugs per month, and adding to that, the time, effort, and fuel costs to locate and bring those gallon jugs of water to my home, well—my Bluevua purifier, if it added no value beyond preventing that waste, would (to me) be well worth the cost outlay. While the performance specifications for this Bluevua unit are impressive, we’d like to confirm them somehow—but for most of us, that’s not feasible. All I can say is, the water tastes great—which is my subjective judgement. Looking for something more objective? Check out the four photos of the Bluevua display after producing 1.7L of water from four sources 1) city tap water, 2) Britta filter pitcher, 3) my refrigerator’s filter, and 4) the Bluevua’s own purified water. The display depicts Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the source water (left number) and in the Bluevua-purified water (right number) in Parts per Million (ppm). What do these photos suggest? On the face of it, it looks like 1) city water’s hard, but safe to drink, 2) my Britta pitcher’s not adding much value, 3) I may need to replace my fridge filter (I did, but it made little difference), and 4) the Bluevua’s source water still had a fair amount of TDS. What (at minimum) is wrong with my observations is that I didn’t back-flush the system between samples—ain’t gonna happen. I’m quite satisfied with the water Bluevua’s purification, since it meets my needs. The only weak points that I have observed have to to with the source/waste water tank. The handle-to-tank attachment point—I hope it’s not as fragile as it looks. And because this is a countertop unit; that is, not connected to the household drain, the rejected water—with all the filtered TDS—is deposited in the tank. You can’t “run” this water through the purifier because doing so will shorten the lives of the filters—tank water must be discarded (I water plants with it). The tank holds about 3.25L of water, and filling it to the “max” line yields up to 1.7L of purified water. Therefore, if you require less than 1.7L of purified water, don’t fill the tank to the max. You can select four quantities of water—up to 1.7L—of purified water, and it would be useful to have markings on the tank to indicate the minimum amount of water required to produce each of the four desired quantities. I plan to determine these levels, and mark my tank accordingly. In conclusion, I like this product, and provided I continue to like it, I’ll probably purchase and intall one of Bluevua’s under-the-counter units; that is, after I reach break-even on this one. Okay, ‘nuff said.

This machine does a good job filtering the water and making it taste better. However, this is the 2nd one I’ve had to buy in 2 years because they start leaking. I bought this one in 2025 and it’s leaking already.

I purchased this Bluevua system in Nov 2022. I made the purchase specifically to: (i) save money from having to constantly purchase bottled water from the grocery store; and (ii) any bottled water delivery services available in my area were too expensive. I deliberately waited a long time before leaving a review because I wanted to be 100% certain of how this water filtration system worked - how well the machine operated, how consistently it performed, whether the taste of the water would remain consistent over time, and more importantly, what it would be like to change the filters. Having had this system for over a year, I strongly recommend this unit. I live in SoCal where the municipal water quality is such that a good filtration system is needed. First, the taste: I was always reluctant to buy a filtration system because I could never be sure of the taste, which I'm extremely sensitive to - it's the reason I always disliked Brita-type systems (which I've tried a few different ones) - the water always tasted vaguely weird and unpleasant ("turbidity" is the word I think some use). The Bluevua filtered water has the refreshing crispness that I like (it was its good taste that surprised me most). It continues to produce the same result the whole time I've been using it. Second, changing the filters: The instructions in the user manual are clear (there are also some instruction videos on YouTube as well); changing the different filters in and out has presented no confusion or problems; the filters last a nice amount of time - all four lasted a little over a year before the unit finally showed I needed to change some of them out. I think the cost of each of the filters is reasonable. Cleaning and care of the unit has been easy - wiping down the unit, washing the carafe, and washing the holding reservoir is simple and straightforward (just be sure to perform regular maintenance; I cleaning/wash everything about once every 3 or 4 months). Most importantly, I definitely achieved my previous stated goals with my purchase of this unit. The overall price of the unit is also reasonable and worth it if trying to find a cost-saving alternative. The only caution (but not a big deal) to mention is that, after each filtration cycle is complete, the holding reservoir has leftover water (which is normal). As the instructions say, you shouldn't try to reuse this water through another filtration cycle. I did, and you definitely notice a deterioration in taste. Instead, I use this leftover water to water plants, which has been great. I mention this in case you're located in an area where water-use bills might get high. In closing, if you're looking for a good, reliable, easy-to-use water filtration system that produces excellent results, you should definitely consider giving this system a try. Thanks for reading!

HIGHLIGHTS * Gives super high quality water that tastes so good. * No installation required, best solution if you are renting an apartment. * The filtering process is fast enough. * The pitcher is top quality glass. No need to worry about your water sitting inside a plastic container * The controls are straightforward to use. * The filter life indicator is super useful. * There is TDS indicator. I looked at it the first day and was impressed by the improvement. The photo is from the first day after I did all the required setup procedure. I never had to check it again. You will know why when you taste the water that comes out of Bluevua. * There is some noise when it operates, but it is not annoying or anything. I barely notice it. * Yes, you need to manually fill the filter with water, but we have been doing that anyways for our PUR/Brita filter. MY STORY I decided to switch to an RO-based filter because the popular low cost filter solutions from Brita, PUR, etc. failed to reduce the hardness of water and/or to improve improve its taste. Now I can say that the water was tasting like crap back then. Finally, I decided to invest some more money because drinking good quality is kinda important. I found many RO-based filters, but most of them needed complicated installation process and some modification to our plumbing system. Since we are renting an apartment, we are not allowed to make permanent changes to the plumbing system. After a lot searching, I found this Bluevua filter to be the one filter that looked promising in terms of customer feedback and compatible in terms of all our requirements. I decided to buy Bluevua. I set it up as per the instructions. The first glass of water from Bluevua brought pure joy and made me realize that, all these years, I have been drinking water that tasted like crap. Everything changed from that point onwards. 1) I started liking drinking just pure water because it tastes so good ( I know this is silly, but it was an unpleasant experience to drink water that came out of Brita and PUR). 2) My electric kettle used to be full of white mineral deposits. After buying Bluevua, I descaled my kettle using vinegar for one more time and started using only Bluevua's water with my kettle. It has been two months and my water kettle has zero (yes, literally zero) mineral deposits. Before Bluevua, my kettle used to build up white mineral deposits just 3 days after descaling it. 3) Even my tea used to taste like crap because the tea compound used to react with minerals in water and used to create some black substances. Now my tea tastes like real tea.

The water in our city would come out of the tap yellow then I looked it up on the independent website and discovered all kinds of undesirable things like arsenic, etc., after I had a cancer diagnosis. This unit has been a great purchase for us because the water is clear at long last and tastes delicious! The Brita pitcher did next to nothing to improve our water quality, in comparison.

It was the best purchase of 2025! I’ve been using it for little over a year and it’s the best decision I made after years of getting water jugs that were always a trouble to get the service on time during the hottest months of the year due to shortage, now I get all water I need or want with a good taste and filtered right, all I have to do is to refill the tank and change filters every year. Very pleased!

A serious bit of kit, expensive but if you look at the amount of water you drink & given the amount of foreign particles in our water nowadays, this is a very important way to ensure your drinking healthy. Our daughter had one for a long time & change our mind set. The water quality is amazing plus safe so will pay for itself in no time given the amount of bottled water we were buying plus good for the environment as less bottles going into recycling. Very easy to set up & use would highly recommended especially if your in a hard water area. The water tastes amazing plus you can see just how much pollutants are removed from your tap water which makes you think!!
