This is a cute costume but not the most practical.The hands and feet of this costume are all attached to the costume. It’s all one piece.I don’t get what to do about the feet because their full feet, like those one piece pj’s with feet in them. You can’t wear it over shoes obviously, and no shoes isn’t an option of course. Either way would destroy the material on the bottom of the feet anyway. My sons only choice was to wear shoes over the feet, which was uncomfortable and ruined the effect. I don’t understand and why they didn’t leave the bottoms of the feet open and made the feet like shoe covers instead to create the illusion but keep the functionality of shoes. They could have even put elastic stirrups on the bottoms to loop under you shoes to keep everything in place.Similarly, the hands are attached too. Why not gloves? He wore it to a party where they had pizza. It was either get the hands all greasy or completely remove the entire top portion and sleeves so he could free his hands. You basically cannot eat any finger food in this thing without staining and ruining the hand covers.Thankfully the face/Hardcover piece is detachable.Finally, the black dye bleeds like crazy. It stained my sons hands and socks and undergarments.It’s a nice idea and cute costume but needs some improvements in the functionality department.

This is an interesting idea, but was just too small. I ordered the medium (sized 8-10) and my size 8 son could barely wiggle into it. There isn't any sort of zipper, which means the child has to wiggle in through the neck hole. My 9 yo is very petite for his age. The costume was very tight, which left no room to wear anything underneath. We'd hoped that he could wear long underwear for outside events, but it was just too tight. There were also some modesty issues if you catch my drift. The hood was also tight, which made it hot/unpleasant to wear and was difficult to see through. You have to order a top hat separately, and I do suggest you do. Also, order up.
