This is an awesome tool. I was able to easily follow the directions, attach a battery and the saw blade and get started. Very quickly I removed a entire hedge line (that was overgrown and needed to be removed/replanted). The saw was easy to use, not too heavy and worked with great precision.

Like the compact design. Versatile and easy to use. Nice weight. Battery life depends on what size you use. Good value. Dewalt quality.

Bought a resale version for $181, definitely the way to go unless the condition is unacceptable. Bought this model before, this one is a gift. DEWALT’s xr max tools are durable and powerful, I’ve bought this line for years, my batteries are still going strong after 6 years and the tools the same. I’m sure other top manufacturer tool lines are good but DEWALT has such a versatile tool lineup you can’t go wrong picking them.

This saw is good quality, not too heavy and compact. I needed a second one so two people could work at the same time. HD only had a 20v in stock that’s a bit bigger, so I purchased it. There is a significant difference. The smaller saw (this one) is great but the slightly bigger one cuts much easier with the same blades and 20v battery… so I don’t have to push the blade through as much. If you don’t have much to cut, this one will be fine. If you have a medium/big job, get the bigger saw.

Worked great. Love the multi blade angles. Plenty of power and compact. Glad I got this vs the hacksaw style I was considering.

It just what the doctor ordered for me. I am not doing heavy demolition or ripping through cars. Just some light work on limited space. I recently used it to trim down a heavy old fashioned entertainment center stand and it got the job done. Minimal battery usage for what i was doing with it. This is the second time ive used it and i can say it is pretty good. I can obviously offer you no information about durability. If you want a real review go watch youtube's A Concord/ something something's review of a bunch of these guys. This one was pitted against a bunch of fulllsize saws. I can this baby gets the job done. It pulls you through the cuts. It wants to help you with your project. It didn't burn through my battery. It didn't slow down on anything. I believe it has four directions to mount the blade. The variable speed is top notch and very easy to control. The only downside to this is that is does shake your hands a bit. I am not an everyday worker though and i defiinitely notice tool vibration. This one reminded me of old lawnmowers in terms of how my hands felt after i finished. So if you are going to do prolonged or or heavy duty demo, you might want to "step down" to the heavier non-compact, non brushless version or, if you're feeling froggy stop up to what is sure to be a powerhouse, the 60v brushless full size monster. Unrelated to this saw is the three blades i used, and i can say for cutting through wood, the Milwaukee carbide AX is overrated. It cut slower and with much more resistance than the dewalt blades i ordered and certainly the diablo thin kerf blade i ordered. I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to anyone.

This thing rips. I trimmed up a pallet with a huge metal lathe still on it and I was able to get up close to the machine without issue. The depth of cut is nice with standard wood blades. Plenty of power to cut through several pieces of wood with a 2Ah battery. The quick change blade with multiple tool positions came in handy too. This tool has its uses just like a multitool oscillating cutter but it definitely deserves a spot in your tool bag.

I used it for pruning and it cuts super fast. Keep in mind this is a bare unit without batteries. I already have batteries since I own other Dewalt 18V (20V in US) power tools. Highly recommended.
