Solid and useful insight
As a professor of Sound Engineering (now retired) many books have come my way. If you could get only one book on mixing, this is the one I would recommend. Within its pages you will get an overview of the wide variety of essentials to consider in order to develop your knowledge of how to approach and complete a great mix.The 2 dozen plus interviews in the book include great ideas from mixing engineers with considerable success. Their perspectives establish that mixing is a skill and an art that no one has to do exactly the same way. This will encourage you to experiment to find what works really well for you.

Great Seller. Awesome book. MUST HAVE
Review about seller: This seller is a professional sales-man. Kind and caring about his service on Amazon in the “Books” department. The book arrived brand new as described in the description. Excellent service and shipping. Would recommend this seller to anyone in need of a book.I’m an audio engineer who loves reading about different experiences in the audio field.Thank you BBDReview about Book : The tips and tricks inside of here are very useful for anyone that’s beginning or is experienced. Some of the info is slightly designed for someone who has an “already” understanding of Bob O. teachings. Digital era with Daw’s and YouTube videos these days will help you some but if you wanna know - KNOW - what you’re doing it’s a MUST READ. I bought the 3rd Edition to complete my Bob O. Collection. It’s almost the same info as the 4th just slightly aged.Mixing is as art and I believe it can’t be technically TAUGHT step by step. There are rules. And inside of this book you’ll learn them. But Mixing is done different by engineer to engineer so with that said, learn the laws and add your own SAUCE to it.Thank you once again to BBD for this find and Bob O. For his countless thoughts on mixing and acoustic treatments.Music is life.

Usefull tool for quick help
Well the book is very insightful but more like a "reminder of every useful tip you've look up in the internet book format and you forgot" is not that advanced but good to have for someone that doesn't remember things quite well or for someone who has it's time in the industry for people starting on this is probably a must have, my only complaint is that the book is a little too big.

A Good reading for the classic engineer, but too long for the info that provides.
It's an essential book, but I don't find it specially bright enough in some aspects that Owsinski touches, i.e. the arrangement, he states his personal view and seems to differ from serious books speaking about structure and arrangement. It's good if you start from scratch to get to know basic stuff about type of reverbs, how a compressor/gate works, which are the basic 6 elements of a good mix, or the history of mixing, studios, etc.Specially oriented for the classic mixing engineer. If you are a modern mixing aspirant for styles like electronic music or hip hop you will find it too old dated in techniques. Although, the info shared in this book is basic and important but not essential in my opinion. It's good to start from the bottom if you like that way to do the things, but if you practically want to learn directly the technical stuff, I know much better options to read. Buy this book if you want to know about classic engineer's and a bit of history of all since half of the book are interviews. I would read it again if you ask me, but I know there could be a much better and complete book in the field, cutting some information and adding practical and modern techniques.

This book really is one of the best books available today for people learning how to mix
This book really is one of the best books available today for people learning how to mix. The expert quotes from established professional engineers serve to provide valuable insight into how professionals approach mixing. The step by step sections provide a solid foundation covering every detail of a mix. I use this book with my students in the classroom all the time. It has a wealth of information everything from mix prep and mix styles to 5.1 mixes. If you take the time and apply the techniques to your mixes your mixing abilities will definitely improve. The book has made a huge difference for my students as well as myself!

O livro é excelente fazendo uma pequena introdução teórica e partindo para a prática logo, através de orientações que podem ser facilmente seguidas E compreendidas por quem tem um mínimo de conhecimento na área.

Very good and practical
If you're starting out on mixing, this should be your guideline. Really! All other stuff you see, like Youtube or free e-books are really summaries of this book.
