This umbrella stinks. You better not open the protective plastic it ships in indoors and you have to air it for a while outside, I think its due to the chemical they used to glaze it to make it waterproof, however this umbrella is beautiful and very photogenic. I used it for a Gatsby lawn party and received a lot of compliments. It is the perfect size, came very quickly and expertly packaged. Great value for the price.

It looks very authentic and was a great addition to the decor. The description says rainproof. I don't think I would test that. It's a little fragile but likely meant to be looked at rather than used. Some of the umbrellas we ordered could hold up to the abuse of kids using it for a prop or playing with it but this one would not.

Collectable. Not for use as a parasol.Just good for picture taking or occasional style. Fragile.

I ordered a rainproof unbrella. Tried to return it because it has a horrible odor. Can't have it in my apartment. Absolutely will not have it over my head. Tried to return it and got into a loop and was unable. So now I will dump it in the trash and understand that I cannot return items to Amazon. This was my first return in 2 years.I will add this paragraph in Yahoo. only I will add photo and product name and manufacturer.

This is a cool item.It does have a somewhat strong smell, but that's expected.And should be able to diminish by venting in the sun for a few hours.I do wish it was larger, as it is only the size of a medium umbrella.

The reviews that mention the strong chemical smell weren’t exaggerating. It’s an awful smell that doesn’t seem to go away. I have to leave it outside. It’s pretty though and worth the low price.

This is a gorgeous and well crafted

This umbrella smelled when I got it so I opened it in the garage to air out. Four days later I could close it with a slight smell. It is harder to open and close than my other one that is not for rain use. I didn't return it but it should have been a gift and now it's just for running to the mailbox in the rain.
