Olive Lovers Only
I've used Roland products for many years and know the brand. Got tired of paying for too much retail for a 6oz. of mixed olives. Can't believe some of the whiny reviews; salty, varied textures, pits! Mixed olives! Go back to your canned black olives for uniform blandness. Only buy these if you want a variety and can deal with pits. How do you eat cherries with pits? Textural differences are inherent in a mix. Enjoy diversity! If you find the olives too salty, drain off a cup of brine(a salt solution) and replace with water. Wait a few days and repeat as needed. It works. This is a nice, tasty assortment of olives at a reasonable price for those who really like olives. Thanks.

Excellent
This is an excellent price for a large quantity of mixed olives. They are salty, but that's how olives are preserved. The quality is the same what Whole Foods and Wegman's offer for around $15/lb.

So very Salty, and leaking everywhere. Not tamper-proof sealed
I can imagine these taste good if there is not so much salt. Also, the mix off olives is way off. Really unique container. However, the screw-top seal is really weak, and mine leaked everywhere on delivery. Not a great design. There is also no way to tell if it was in any way tampered with in transit. In the world we live in today, with monsters everywhere, we need to have the assurance of tamper-proof seals so we know we can consume goods without fear of adulteration. Not so the case here, sadly. I still risked it and tried some. And yes, if the salt was about a 4/5s less, I can see how these would be delish, but wow, so salty it actually burns your tongue. I thing I could feel my arteries screaming while eating this olive mix. Lastly, not half an hour later, I was on the toilet. A friend with me was also hit with this. Not fun sharing the toilet in this experience, as I am sure you can imagine. I am not sure if it means the food was tainted or if the salt simply caused it, as excess salt can cause stomach unease. Still not great... It is a shame as the canned olives from the same company are some of the best I have ever tasted, and the quality of the canning is excellent there. Strange that the level of care is so varies between the two products... If they fix the container, make it a can too? And if they fix the mix for quality control, less salt, I think it would sell like hot cakes. I would buy again if this was all addressed.

Salty but ok.
Too salty and too many mushy olives. Overall the quality of the olives is decent.

Olives for olive lovers
I grew up eating Greek olives. These are mixed. Not as salty as in a small can it a jar. They are so so good! In two days I'm getting close to finishing off a half a pound. Will definitely be getting more. True, the container leaked a tiny bit. I signed up for one shipment in six month but I'm sure I'd be getting one sooner. These are true Greek olives with pits and that's how I like them. Once in a while there would be a softer olive but they all taste great. They are for a true olive lover. And that's me. Love love love them! Texture is amazing and most of them are large. Once in a while there'd be a smaller one but they all taste the way olives should, amazing! I came back to add that there were more dark big olives. Now the deeper I go the smaller and the greener the olives get. Still, considering I paid about $20 with subscribe and save it's not a bad buy. I'd prefer to have more black olives. But I still might get these again

Very Salty
I had never had greek country olives before, so I half wanted to try this just to experience them. They have good flavor and the quantity is generous. The container is designed to brine olives, so it's not air-tight. I was a little surprised they made it without losing all the brine. While the garlic and pepperoncini flavors are there, they don't overpower.

The Olives party snack.
Super salty. Need to drain salty water. Add olive oil and refrigerate after opening.

VERY TASTY!
The packaging is interesting.. a neat barrel shape and the lid has a handle, which seals similar to a canning jar (2 pieces). As you can see in the third photo, you lift the black insert out of the container and it has a white rubber ring in between to offer a tight seal. I SLOWLY and CAREFULLY removed the lid but when the seal finally "broke", the oil went everywhere (mostly all down the front of me). I'm not docking the review for that super annoying mishap because accidents happen, but just be warned because it might also happen to you! Inside the container is a white mesh basket which I think is for draining the liquid. The olives are NOT pitted, so heed that warning for your first bite. I am so used to pitted olives that I didn't even realize I purchased non-pitted until I stuck my fork in one. That is fine by me, as they are usually cheaper that way anyhow. The taste is GREAT! Less salty than when purchased at the olive bar area of my local grocer--so you can actually taste the flavor of the olives and the brine, without being overburdened by salt. I will definitely purchase these again!
