You can drill this into a 5/8" thick desk
This is an excellent keyboard mouse tray. I am an advent gamer and need lots of mouse space, for games like CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG etc. The tray platform is exactly 28" wide and 12" deep perfect for accommodating a tenkeyless and 11 x 12" mouse pad. I had to do my research on many many keyboard trays (those adjustable keyboard trays seem flimsy in videos) before purchasing this item (mind you price is not an option, I was looking for the biggest/sturdiest keyboard tray) and for the price and size this was mine, and if not thee best option. With that said, this item is a steal compared to other keyboard trays (bang for buck). A keyboard tray should be just a simple extension of your desk, while maintaining the stable grounded feeling of a desk. The tray locks when you push it all the way in and locks when you pull it fully extended. You get about 3" of clearance between the desk and the tray platform, which as an advent gamer I absolutely have no issues with. Installation was a breeze, I suggest you flip over the desk and use an electric drill, makes life much easier.Pros:- 28 x 12" platform (more keyboard/mouse space)- Very sturdy- Smooth bearings- Locks fully extended- Easy installation (flip desk and may req. electric drill)Cons:- Non adjustable height (that is what your chair is for)- No RBG (meh)

Awesome, easy assembly, smooth & quiet! Good price too!
The media could not be loaded. This turned out to be an awesome keyboard tray and super affordable. Very smooth and quiet. I did have to install it lying down on the floor coz my desk is an L shape and I can't or don't want flip it. I used my one hand to support it and started with 1 woodscrew, to help hold it in place. Everything else was easy!

Nice sliding ledge
This is wider than I thought- - easily fits my full keyboard and mouse pad. Slides easily enough - install straight forward - for those of us who can't turn the desk upside down, well, it's not the manufacturer's fault. Seems well made and like it will last a while. I put it under an ikea counter.Only nits - the included screws seemed short - I have a 1.5" thick counter, so I added additional 1" wood screws of my own, just in case. And the way I grab the tray to pull it out - I usually grab the outside - the is grease in the metal track to lubricate the mechanism - I keep sticking my fingers in the grease. Slightly annoying but my last tray was 'dry' - so never had to think about it. Just need to train myself to grab it a different way. -1 star for those 2 nits.

Took a chance. It works!
I wasn't sure if this would fit under my desk, but after reading some reviews and answers that might go either way, and not finding anything at all that I liked that would clearly work better, I decided to give it a try. It works! One person in an answer very helpfully suggested a depth of about 15" just to play it safe. I only have 13 7/8" of depth. I totally understand why 15" was suggested, as my tray is about as flush with the front of my desk as it can be, however, I don't mind the location. I don't even feel or notice it unless I really let my gut hang out, but hey, that'll just be another good reminder that I need to get my butt out of the chair and lose some weight! As I said, I have 13 7/8" of depth to work with. I mounted the rails as far back as I could given the space and once installed the depth of the keyboard tray is at most 14 1/8" from the back, an almost imperceptible difference. So, if you have 13.5" (to round down) of depth and don't mind the tray coming right up close to the edge of your desktop, then this will work for you.Installation was very simple. It comes with eight identical screws and I was able to sink them fully into my IKEA Bekant desktop (~5/8" thick) which I have mounted on an Uplift adjustable height desk frame. I managed to do it by myself WITHOUT flipping the desk over. I mounted the brackets to the tray, then carefully held the whole thing up under the desk while I marked the drill holes. I just barely drilled pilots and held it up while I screwed it in (back left, front right, back right, front left, like tightening a wheel onto a car). Something soft to lie down on helps. :)Other measurements you may be interested in include how far it hangs down. Once mounted, the bottom of the tray hangs down 3 1/2". The rail brackets on either side hang down 3 7/8".Also, I have a Corsair K70 LUX RGB keyboard which, while I have always just used it on the desktop, fits pretty well on the tray, leaving a comfortable 8.5"+ of mouse space when you're gaming (WASD, with the keyboard slightly off to the left). That's a pretty big keyboard with a 10-key, and even when I use it on the tray for general typing/internet stuff (keyboard more centered), I can use the mouse comfortably. Of course, mouse usage will vary based on style and cursor sensitivity settings, etc.I started out looking for a simple under desk tray to store my wireless Apple keyboard (I'm using both my MacBook Pro and Windows PC on the same desk/monitor). When I saw this I gave it a try and it works great! I've attached a couple of pictures just to give you an idea of what it looks like.Hope this helps someone!UPDATE: Just wanted to add that I ordered a mouse pad that fits the entire tray perfectly. It currently goes by the catchy title of "Cmhoo Extended Mouse Pad 27 inches Large Mouse Pad Thick Mouse Mat Gaming Functional Non-slip Rubber Base (27.6×11.8×0.2in, Thicker Black Edge)." Basically, I've found that anything listed as 28x12 should work as they are actually just a tiny bit smaller (27.6x11.8 in this case). Anyways, the pad is working great and might be a good addition to your set-up.

Easy keyboard tray
I couldn't turn my desk over, so I used some 3M adhesive strips on the brackets, to stick it to the underside of my desk in the desired position. This held it in place until I could get each bracket screwed in to the underside of the desk. The tray was actually a bit wider than I had expected (not having read the measurements closely), but it's of ample size for a full sized keyboard and a mousepad beside it.It slides relatively smoothly, and has a sort of "lock" mode at each end of the slide when you pull it out or push it in.Now I can keep the keyboard stowed away when not in use, instead of occupying the desk top.
