STANLEYFatMax Rip Claw Hammer, 16-Oz (51-163)

This is my favorite hammer on the job and around the house. I am not a carpenter but do a lot of woodworking and this 16oz is perfect for what I do. I find it well balanced and easy to maneuver. I like also the larger end prevent a slip out of my hand. I don't want to use my other hammers now that I have this one.

Llevo usándolo varios meses y a pesar del precio un poco excesivo para mi gusto estoy satisfecho con la compra. El manto tiene buen agarre, materiales duraderos y un buen diseño. Lo único que me gusto es que la "cabeza del martillo es completamente lisa y en ciertos casos se extraña un diseño Texturizado. Cumple lo que promete y reduce significativamente la vibración e impacto a tu mano, pero no esperes una reducción total al golpear con el martillo.

I bought this for use as a professional and it's been holding up to regular use for various activities. I can't tell if the anti-vibe feature is working, but it's nice knowing that it might be. I've used this tool a lot since I've purchased it and it's holding up to tough usage. The grip is great and I can swing hard with it.

How sad I've never had a real hammer until now. I purchased a tool set many years ago and have been making due with those tools but suddenly I couldn't find the hammer any more. I purchased this hammer thinking it was basically the same thing but was wrong.This one is much more weighty, comfortable in the hand, and strong. I made the comment to a friend and he showed me a different hammer he had and asked if my old one was like that. It was and he told me I was using a "woman's hammer" one that is a little lighter and designed different while intended for a woman to use. As stupid as THAT sounds, I did look it up online and found truth to it. I never would have known.So apparently women have to have a special BIC pen and they also need to use specific hammers.All kidding aside, this hammer really is night and day to the old one. It's so much weightier it took some getting used to because I didn't have to hammer as hard, and the tip of the hammer has a larger area (as my finger found out on occasion). Overall this is a great product. I will purchase more Stanley tools in the future as I think they are good quality having accumulated quite a few of them without even doing so intentionally.
