If you have to spend money on a sling, you might as well buy one that is reversible - for future use. The instruction leaflet is very informative with many photos & diagrams of how to put it on and adjust it. The version I selected had a fabric triangle connecting the 2 back straps which appeared to be flatter but I was sent the one with a fabric circle. Not too happy about that. I wanted to be able to sleep wearing this and have it as smooth as possible. Fabric is perforated but still gets a tad warm. Gravity pulls on the weight of my arm and causes pain in my injured shoulder. I have overworked my left shoulder & arm for years with it doing most of the heavy lifting and carrying way too heavy shoulder bags and totes. My trapezius, deltoid, & rhomboid muscles and the ligaments are all severly swollen. I do not want to take a lot of pain medication so my physical therapist recommended wearing a sling for 30 minutes at a time throughout the day. This sling gives me great relief. The Large size measurement from elbow to wrist is 15 inches. My wrist is supported but if your arm is longer, you may want to buy a larger size if you want semi-hand support. My suggestion to manufacturer: make the thumb loop longer and instead of sewing it in at both ends, use Velcro to make it adjustable. The loop holds my thumb up too high and uncomfortably stretches it from my hand. I'm going to cut the fabric strap and add my own Velcro. The sling is adjustable with Velcro on two of the main straps. You can adjust the sling so that your arm can stay immobilized tightly to your body. I did a lot of research of all the slings offered and am glad I chose this one.

I ordered this 3 weeks post-op from rotator cuff surgery when the doc said I could refrain from using the separator block from my current immobilizer. I am only wearing this sling while at work. The rest of the time, I am still using the immobilizer. I tried two other slings that family members gave me and neither were very comfortable, not that I expected them to be. But this one truly is comfortable. Some reviews state that it is difficult to put on, and it can be confusing, but just watch the video and you will easily be able to figure it out. The only issue with the video is that the person looks fairly mobile. Since I have to be very careful not to move my shoulder too much, the overhead placement just takes a little longer. I do recommend this though. It's very comfy!!!

Just a little hard to get it on the first week after surgery.If you have a little help its perfect. I will wear it post recovery often.

It does not raise my hand above my elbow elevation causing swelling in my hand. The sling is being used for a broken arm.

Ordered large based on measurements, needed XL

A great sling if you can freely move your arm away from your body. I have a fractured shoulder and must keep my upper arm tight to my body. This makes it very difficult to put this sling on and was of no use to me.

Although there is comfort with this sling, it is not made for overweight people. I am 5'1", weigh 202, and chest measurement is 41". I ordered an XL according to the size chart. The strap that is supposed to go over the arm wouldn't reach across. My thumb doesn't reach thumb sling. It would be nice to have products created for petite people. I'm on the hunt for one for petite as I have another 8 weeks to wear one.

I tried 3 different types of slings which all caused discomfort from the strap at my neck. This one didn't do that because of the strap that went around my back and waist and hooked at my wrist. Much better design. Very comfortable.

This is a pretty decent product. I am a bit larger and was worried that it wouldn't fit but I actually have plenty of room for it to go around my body. It provides really good support for the arm and the part going around your shoulder is nice and comfortable. I like the fact that you can adjust it so I can choose how immobilised my arm should be depending on how it's feeling that day. The only downfall is the other strap that goes around your waist, because I am a bit bigger it sometimes digs in a little and I have to adjust it, so it would have been nice if that part had padding as well. But overall a good product and if you need something to keep your arm in place this will do the trick.

The material is comfy and breathable, the straps are padded and avoid the neck which is a big bonus as most pull on the neck, this one doesn't. No very adjustable, only seems to be one position, can't elevate elbow position and the strap across the arm near the elbow is half as long as it needs to be. But it's good enough for now.

Dislocated my shoulder and wanted something to give support and closer arm to body support. This looked the best, however poor design and sizing resulted in uncomfortable sling.The body strap only has a small amount of Velcro so limits wear can fix to sling.The arm cup isn’t deep enough even after going up a size, I found my elbow rolled and wasn’t supported

Honestly cannot recommend this sling enough. I’ve a broken wrist and the sling I was provided was so uncomfortable and hurt my neck and back so much. This sling is really comfortable, easy to get on and off. Would 100% recommend for anyone in a similar predicament to me. I can wear it happily all day, walk the dog with it on and no pain on my neck and back at all. Really worth the money.
