Great Analysis of a Gripping Tale
As a reader, once in a while I discover a book that is so incredibly well written that I simultaneously fly through its pages and yet go slowly to prevent its end. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is definitely one of those books. This murder mystery is plotted with such care that each time you think you've got a character or scenario figured out, there's another twist in the plot. It seems like a cut and dry murder case in which the beautiful wife ends up dead leaving the husband as the likely suspect. That's when the thrilling tale departs from anything ordinary or predictable and so begins the wild ride to unveil the truth. After reading this great analysis of Gone Girl I started suggesting it to other readers as a companion to the novel. The character reference list allowed me to keep the players straight while the story unfolded which was incredibly helpful as I reread the book. I also enjoyed the narrative notes that provided a sort of step by step timeline as the story is told. Overall, worth a read for anyone that enjoyed Gone Girl or is thinking of reading the novel.

Keeping Up With the Dunnes Is Easy With This Review
If you want to keep up with the craziness of the Dunne couple in "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn, you should probably pick up this review to read along with it. Simply put, I loved "Gone Girl." It's just the type of psychological thriller that gets my mind racing. But no one person can sleuth alone and have fun doing so, right? Even a solitary act such as reading can be made more pleasurable by a constant companion--especially if the companion is a thorough, well-organized book review. This review really made me step back and question the motives of the two main characters, even more so than the novel itself. I also loved the elaboration on the author's writing style; it really made me trust that the author of the review knew enough about literature to guide me along to the end of this plot-twister.

Play explained in English
Understanding plays have always been hard for me but this guide book for Gone Girl is so helpful because not only does it have a detailed character list but also a chapter/act recap and analysis. The book Gone Girl is an extremely complex book because of the back and forth between Nick and Amy’s relationship and then understanding what each character’s underlying motive is. I also wouldn’t have understood the theme is about exploited children without this book. A sidekick to Gone Girl is an essential book to understanding the original and I’m happy that I decided to buy this book.

A very thorough review of Gone Girl
I was happy with the mystery while seeing the hardships of marriage and the way family can effect it.This review allowed me to follow the characters, plot twists, and the subtle clues as I read the book, I was able to see howAmy's family used and stole from Amy. Also how Nick became the prime suspect in Amy's disappearance. I was able to follow Nicks thinking as well as Amy's input through her diary. Very well written!

Didn't like the ending I feel that the book rewards bad ...
Didn't like the ending I feel that the book rewards bad behavior and sends the wrong message. That is ok to abuse and destroy peoples lives and be rewarded with a baby and the husband (who's weaknesses makes me sick)Read it because my son's girlfriend really loved it. Wish I hadn't

They deserved each other
The story took too long to "get going". No one in our book group liked the book, although all finished it. It was finished by all because none of us could believe it would end the way it did. None of us want to read her next book.

Quite A Pleasure To Read
Gone Girl explores the secrets that live within our relationships with our spouse and closest family members. Nick and Amy seemed pretty average, until faced with professional and financial turmoil. The story explores how well really know those in our lives, and how we trying times can uncover secrets that were believed to be well hidden. A page-turning psychological thriller that has many unexpected surprises.

Do Not Buy This!
Well this was a joke! I thought I was purchasing a full length book to read. This simply described the characters in the book and a brief synoposis of the story. It took all of ten minutes to read. This was the most expensive 'book' I have ever purchased. I will most likely go to the city library in the future so I will know what I am getting........and the books there are free!
