Truly helped me a lot!
The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd was featured in Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 and I was instantly intrigued, because if Oprah recommends it then its not going to be a boring read. However this sounded like a very heavy subject, this book is based on the lives of fictional sisters, Sarah and Angelina, who were at the forefront of the abolitionist and women’s rights movements. I recently purchased my first Book Buddy Sidekick, and decided if I was going to tackle another book of this magnitude I had to get another one for this book if I could and boy am I glad that I did! This Book Buddy Sidekick expertly took me through everything I needed to know, from relationships to character analysis, it even answered questions I had about the time era. I would singularly recommend this Book Buddy Sidekick to anyone who wants to read The Invention of Wings!

Where Is the Real Book?
I am so pissed! I read lots of great reviews of Kidd's book The Invention of Wings and so was eager to read it. At the same time I also noticed & read the warnings by many readings about accidentally ordering a book that instead only reviewed her book. Therefore I thought I was VERY careful to avoid that pitfall. I was delighted when the seemingful real book came on my kindle. Wait a minute - "Sidekick" and "Bookbuddy" weren't simply cute names of publishers; they denote "Reviews". Darn! Maybe I'll first try reading one of Monk's earlier books before I try to find this "real" book again. Geez.

Sidekick edition
I thought I was buying the actual book and therefore was disappointed. It arrived perfectly, but it was my lack of thoroughness that made me unhappy.

Great companion to the novel
A good addition to the novel that sheds light on the multiple themes of The Invention of Wings. Helpful synopsis of all major characters and their relationships. Book club discussions are pertinent. A nice addition to an amazing book.

Still don't know
As I was not aware that "sidekick" is some sort of cliff notes, I was unable to read this complete book although I was looking forward to it. I wished Amazon had a clear warning about this.

Excellant story line, grabs you and holds you.
This is a book for everyone. I hung on every word, and hated to see it end. Opens your eyes to several things.

My fault
Totally my fault--didn't realize what a "sidekick" is! I want to read the entire book and will do so at a later time.
