I have been searching for a new gel since my old favorite was discontinued in January 2024 (Maui Moisture - Castor & Neem Oil Gel). I have tried countless hair gels over the last few months and the best I could find was LA Looks, a good gel, but almost impossible to scrunch out the crunch and left my curls looking a bit stringy. I have low porosity, 2B waves with some corkscrews. This gel is the first one I’ve found that actually hydrates my curls and holds them at the same time. It’s a little thick so I just mixed it with a tiny bit of water on my palms and then coated my hair with prayer hands. It has a light cast, and I was worried it wouldn’t hold, but I’m super pleased with the result. With how cheap it is, I definitely think it’s worth a try!

It does a fantastid job of keeping my hair moisturized. Will buy again.

It holds well but only for a few hours maybe it’s cs i put it on dirty hair but it did still hold for a while. I used this one mainly because my hair was dry and it helped with that and from what I can tell based off of the product there is no alcohol which will always be a plus. I have bra-strap length 4a-4b hair btw.

The best I have use so far, hold firm and last long. Doesn't sweat out at all and doesn't leave any residue on hair, love it.

Works great does not smell good

The media could not be loaded. The quality is very misleading. I wouldn't say it's value for the money because it is very much like mousse on your hair and it is also makes your hair flaky like you have dandruff. It does have a nice smell to it but if you're looking for something that's not going to be hard on your hair this is not the product for you. It makes your hair very stiff and it feels very oily which is a very bad feeling for me and before the end of the day I end up having to wash it out. It's not as effective on the hair as they say.

This is a very thin, watery like consistency. It works while hair is brushed, but a few hours later, the hair reverts.

I really like this gel for my 4c hair. It’s the only gel that I ever used that makes my hair feel soft in its natural state.I do not use it to “totally” slick my 4c hair down. But, the gel does lay my hair down but for a very slick look to my edges I have to add edge control (which I do not necessarily prefer unless I'm doing a ponytail style). It does cause my hair rinse to lose its color faster. I’m assuming because it’s a very watery based gel.Overall this gel is great and makes my hair feel soft in its natural state. I would definitely recommend this gel.
